Lorraine Maita, MD is the President and Medical Director of How to Live Younger, a captivating speaker and author. Yes, it was the most famous quote from the 1992 Presidential campaign when James Carville starting promoting the message, "It's The Economy Stupid!" in support for his guy Bill Clinton when he felt the state of the economy was the #1 issue in that election. Dr. Lorraine Maita is now saying the same thing about the role hormones are playing in longevity and health in her book VIBRANCE FOR LIFE. Most people unfortunately don't even realize much of their bodily functions are regulated by a wide variety of hormones like insulin, leptin, testosterone, thyroid, etc. because the focus is always on the food consumed. While choosing the best low-glycemic impacting foods are indeed important, it's what those foods are doing to these key hormones that is critical to the future state of your health and longevity. I can hear her saying throughout this book, "It's The Hormones Stupid!" And she's exactly right!

I have been a student of natural and holistic health and wellness for a long time. Dr. Maita has done an excellent job of laying out an easy to follow plan that empowers readers to take control of their health and vitality. She explains the science that support her recommendations in a way that leaves the reader feeling knowledgable and empowered, not overwhelmed and confused. I love this book and highly recommend it to everyone who wants to take responsibility for their health and well being.
