This book was a daily bible for two of us vegans who completed a 30 day raw food diet intersperced with 2 juice cleanses. Good basic how-to info on sproutingf, cultured foods and dehydrating and survival tips for sweeteners and condiments. Chocked full of recipes and ideas.

I well know the benefits of preparing and eating living foods for achieving and maintaining vibrant health from my younger years when I was quite disciplined in its preparation and consumption. My children were raised on carrot juice and veggies. Through the years, our lives grew increasingly chaotic coordinating different schedules, preferences and lifestyles, so I went the way of most human flesh and consumed more and more animal flesh, starches, chips, soda, booze - convenience ruled my choices.
I finally retired and am feeling the ill effects of abandoning my healthier discipline for so many years and decided to return to a healthier regimen. I like this book because it makes transitioning to a healthy diet easy by providing a number of easy recipes. Many of them require prepping ahead of time, and there is the inevitable peeling, shredding, chopping but I am finding it an enjoyable undertaking. I even began juicing vegetables again. You will not be disappointed with the contents of this book. Good health to you all!

This vintage raw food book (from the 80s) offers a number of interesting, simple-to-produce recipes. I am a big fan of the old books, because therein one can find simple tasty recipes which generally involve little prep time.
