This is an excellent book for people faced with practical vibration problems. The book is a well-written to this topic. Focus is on rotating machinery, and data acquistion, filtering, etc. This is the best 1st book on vibration diagnosing I've found yet. A definite recommend to buy

This is one of the most useful books in my collection. Theory where appropriate. But focus is practical application and examples from the authors extensive experience. Buy this book if you want to understand vibration spectrums.

A practical book like this helps people a lot in doing vibration measurement. I think the author made effort to connect theoretical and practical issues for reader to understand what is expected to be measured in doing experiments.

Very good as entry-level textbook! Not for the die hard spectrum annalist though... It should be considered essential for crash courses in vibrations and spectrum analysis.

As a beginner, this is a good book for me. It tells me where to look for further reading. The sentences are simple and straightforward. The concepts are explained in clearly. Although it is far from a bible, I would like to recommend it if you are new in this field. The only thing that I do not like is the graphics. Unless I got to the appendix, I felt it was difficult to understand some graphics.

This book is well written, entertaining even, and thorough. It is well organized for whatever method you will be using. A great addition to any engineers library.

I think this book is filled with good information and is a good resource for anyone wanting to learn more about Vibration Analysis and Spectrum Analysis. Glad I have now for a reference among a few others.

Good section on DSP. Good appendices... especially the one by Bob Wall on motor vibration.

Es un buen esfuerzo en hacer interactuar la teoría con la práctica del análisis de vibraciones. Dado que en español no existe mucha bibliografía disponible sobre el tema, para las personas que no son ingenieros los textos textos disponibles se hacen un poco complicados, mientras que los disponibles en inglés sobre el tema son un poco mas asequibles, esto es una paradoja linguistica. Sin duda este texto es un auxiliar de campo para los profesionales que laboran en el área de mantenimiento, la idea como lo indica Goldman es tenerlo allí en el campo, en donde hace falta.

Great reading. Has a good way of teaching the dumbies in us. I will benefit from this book in my work
