I used to think that a drum stick was just a drum stick until I played Vic Firths. I had been so used to using no name brand sticks, and once I picked up a pair of these, I could feel the difference immediately. You pick them up, and before even playing with them, you can tell how much precision goes into these sticks. Not only is the weight of each stick completely equal, the stick itself is so perfectly balanced that it makes playing so much more fun and enjoyable. I recommend these to anyone who plays any type of drum, in any style.

Yes, Rock Band is the first (and only) drums I've ever played.

However, with the breaking of the original RB sticks I was looking for a new set. Very very pleased with the weight of these (slightly heavier) and response of them. I think my playing improved a bit using these, I seem to have more control and precision. They just "feel" better. Got these in October 2009, and 5 months later, they are still in great shape.

Great value, great sticks. I'd highly recommend them for any of us wannabees. :)

This is a good product, very classic. I bought this sticks because my first sticks were vic firth. The 5A size, from mypoint of view is a very confortable size, because of the light weight and thickness.

I always used Fic Firth drum sticks becuase the drummer for The Ramones did, also the drummer for Tokyo Police Club and many other different drummers to but those 2 drummers deffinently but anyway Vic Firth sticks are the best oviously there the only sticks I've really ever use and not only do they feel really good when I play but also i think there more "DURABLE" which is something I really needed because I'd alway be breaking my sticks all the time but deffently more Durable than any other sticks out on the market today :)they also sound really good and crystal clear on crashes and rides really giving the sound a complete vibrate listen when drumming very good sticks, the best on the market... there also rated best drum sticks around. I am already ordering my second pare and I still have my first pare and there working really well still I would order these sticks if you are looking to save money if your on a budget like I am :p... only about $5.00 on here and if your looking for durable sticks that last atleast 4 or 6 months at the least!

This are my first pair of drum sticks and i carry them around everywhere i go. They are always in my bag! They are a little heavy, but they are really good.

Great set of sticks. I always buy 5A size sticks because of the weight and length and these sticks are great. They have actually lasted longer, by that I mean not breaking, than I originally thought. A great product and when I bust my arsenal of them I will return to buy them again. Kudos on these sticks.

i do play instruments (guitar & piano) some drums but it's not why i bought these drum sticks.

My old roommmate stole my drum sticks so this was the next cheapest thing

they play well on the pads.

i'm sure they'd have nice action off a snare drum and high hat in real life...

These were good drumsticks. I used Vic Firth sticks for a long time, and they were always good. These particular sticks performed very well. They were 5A's, so they were lightweight, easy to grip, and were very easy to move around. When you play drums fast, it helps to have a stick that is not too heavy to use. These also had a lacquer coating, so they had a good grip. My only problem with these were that they had wooden tips. I learned that wooden tips seem to come apart and shred after a while, but only if you're hitting cymbals, not if you're just hitting drums. If you decide to buy these sticks, buy the kind with a nylon tip, they will last longer.

I can't speak to whether the sticks are professional quality. But as a replacement for the Guitar Hero drum set, they work great. Slightly heavier weight gives it a solid feel.

I use these drum sticks for playing Rockband and it works just fine. I cannot comment on how they perform for real drummers with real drums. But for playing Rockband it is fine. Thanks.
