I bought these for my son since he was complaining about ringing in his ears from playing his drums, and these are the best! He can still hear himself play while it muffles out the high pitch of the cymbals. Highly recommend for drummers

I bought these for my son who has hyper-sensitive hearing. Loud noises like the vacuum running, fireworks displays and crowd noise would always have him plugging his ears - until these headphones arrived. The over-the-ear design is comfortable, although it was a bit too snug at first and put his head in a vice-like grip. After a minor fit adjustment, they work just as advertised. I've now put him in charge of the vacuuming and the loud noise is a non-issue. No, they don't eliminate all noise; he can still hear with these on, but the sound is largely muffled. We give them two thumbs up.

My son has autism and I bought these to help him when he is at loud functions, movies and concerts. They have worked wonders. He is now able to enjoy these things much longer without becoming over stimulated.

I bought these for my 16 year old son and he has more than doubled his practice time. No longer do his ears get fatigued and he can still hear the timbre and nuances of his kit. After using various types of ear plugs this is by far a better solution. I wish I had purchased these the first time I came across them on Amazon. A must have for any drummer.

I bought these for my five year old. He got a drum set for Christmas and needed some good ear protection. These seem to work and are comfortable on his head.

These are amazing. Excellent. I put on ear phones and then these and I can play along to any song I want at a low volume. I can play for hours without getting a headache or hurting anywhere, contrary to the low ratings here. My only objection is that the wires are flimsy, and after a few months of playing they had gone out of shape. All I do is simply put them on my head and take them off. I have a big head... maybe the wires get flexed too much? Either way, what this means is that sometimes the cups aren't pressed firmly against my head and don't isolate well, but that's easily fixed by moving them around a little.

Get them, or the ones with audio, simply because they have incredible isolation!

My son is 9 years old and uses these headphones. They work well, are comfortable for him, and he's happy to wear them.

This thing seriously takes out a ton of noise. At jazz try outs I could barely hear the other 80+ people playing their instruments.

Very tight for a great isolation, and you hear excellent balance of drums with any other audio you may have. Hurts after an hour. In the ear plugs are easier to carry to the studio etc., but not the same quality/isolation. I'd try in the ear types first.

A christmas gift for my son the drummer. He uses these each time he plays, and says they are of high quality. I'm happy these headphones are protecting his hearing. He also uses them with earbuds, with the volume set much lower than he otherwise would.
