Editorial Reviews

Vancouver, Canada rock band Art Of Dying will release their debut album, Vices and Virtues, March 22nd on Disturbed's newly minted Reprise imprint, Intoxication Records. Distrubed lead singer David Draiman on the signing of Art Of Dying: "In years of searching for a band to begin the saga at Intoxication Records, we finally found the fiercely talented boys of Art Of Dying; delivering uncompromising, harmony filled anthemic rock moments, fused with the right amount of attitude. They won over our fans time and time again, and we are betting that they will win over the world." So what is the 'Art of Dying'? It's how you live your life, how you embrace it, and what you do with your time while you're here. It's your life to live, and that's exactly what Art of Dying is doing.

This album would be great, but half the album is retooled songs off their first album. Fans of bands like Shinedown and Three Days Grace should definitely check it out.

You should know there is nothing ground-breaking or new here, but that doesn't detract from the overall quality of the music. Vices & Virtues will be an excellent addition to your music library especially if you're a fan of Three Days Grace, 3 Doors Down, 12 Stones, Theory Of A Deadman, or Daughtry. Adam Gontier of Three Days Grace actually guests on this album. If you're looking for a solid album full of enjoyable, well written, rockin' songs, then you should consider purchasing Vices & Virtues.

there're melodies, guitar solos, a lead vocal that can really sing, exciting percussion, what more can we ask for. It's a very solid album. It can easily be the record of the year if the promotion + radio air is supporting a great deal.

couple of highlights are "Completely", "Die Trying", "Get Thru This", "Raining" and a radio friendly one would be "Sorry".

This band deserves a major breakthrough. Go to their concerts, get their CDs..I only wish they would tour in asia. coz that's where i'm in.

I am an old Rocker(64), set in my musical ways...BUT.....this Band got me asking, it's not really metal, grunge, hip hop, or even 60's...a little bluesy, little CCR, splash of Grand Funk RR...I like the sound...the beat, I like this band. The song 'Sorry' sounds like a top ten.

I happened to catch the single "Live Through This" on Sirrius radio . . . I immediately went looking for the whole album and it did NOT disappoint! More people should be talking about Art of Dying -- they are a great melodic rock band. If you like Shinedown, Buckcherry, or Papa Roach type rock then what are you waiting for?!?! Get out there and check these guys out! Well worth the money and happy to say it's still in pretty regular rotation in my music collection.

From a band that Disturbed found there is nothing but hits on this album. there are the ones you hear on the radio Die Trying, and Get Thru THis, But it wont stop there I have listened to this Album a couple of dozen times and there isnt a bad song on it. IF you like this type of Music than it is a Must have. They will have a hard time reprouducing this type of record the second time around.

Very good. All new songs (6) are very good and then chose the best songs(5)of his first cd. I think this album is five stars, but I give it four, and I thought of giving three, because I think it's sad that after so many years have only included six new songs when I think would be more decent had included at least nine new songs. Anyway is a great album with a great production. Recommended

Every time I listen to this cd I enjoy more listening. Today rated it five stars that always deserved and I did not give what I have explained above. Wonderful hard rock album
