4.0 out of 5 stars Very Nice !!
Can't Call myself a Gilberto Santa Rosa aficionado, after all VICEVERSA is the first Santa Rosa album I have purchased. So pleasantly surprised by this CD that I'm in the search for additionall Santa Rosa work, highly recommended! Un montón de estrellas, Por mas que intento and, El refrán se te olvidó are reason enough to get this CD.

5.0 out of 5 stars WONDERFUL!!!, October 12, 2003

For Santarosa's fans this is a must. The record is full of UNFORGETABLE poetry, very meaningful lirics, and the salsa/bolero versions make this record a winner, for you can enjoy it whatever the mood you are in. If you want to dance go for the salsa versions, but if you are feeling romantic then bolero is the way to go. This CD contains some songs that are very likely to be classics such as the unforgetable PERDONAME. If you are a salsa-lover you'll apreciate this record for what it is: a MASTER PIECE.

4.0 out of 5 stars Time and Time again, April 11, 2003
This review is from: Viceversa (Audio CD)
Gilbertito, for those who knew of him back in the days when he was front man singer for Willie Rosario's orquestra next to Tony Vega, continues to provide salsa with class, thoughtful lyrics without losing the swing that has made him a household name. Soledad is a track that is so insightful that I literally couldnt keep from picturing every scenario. The fact that 2 versions were done- ballad and salsa - just make it that much sweeter since it fits any and every mood. This is a must for Gilberto fans and for salsa music enthusiasts!

I was exceptionally impressed with this cd. My favorite song is Si te Dijeron, which as with many of Santa Rosa's work embodies a perfect combination of sabor and poesia. The rest of the songs are thoroughly enjoyable, such as Como el que No Quiere la Cosa, which is fast and flirty. A very good investment in my opinion.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not his best work!!, October 17, 2002

I did not care for this recording at all. As a matter fo fact, I couldn't find even one cut that I enjoyed. This is far from his best work. It seems that this is a filler album to keep his name current. The songs are totally forgetable and lacking in any melodic attributes. This is an album that should have remained unmade. Santa Rosa aficionados should stay away from this recording.

Gilberto, who is advising you? Why haven't you found a replacement that has a modicum of musical appreciation to keep you from embarrassing yourself?
