The box was closed, but not sealed.

Closer investigation shows that they are made in India, and are marked as 'Vicks Inhaler', and not 'Vicks VapoInhaler' like the US originals.

Can't find it in brick stores so this was a great buy.

4/4/2014 Correction: The product shown here does not appear to be the True USA verison of Vicks VapoInhaler. If it were, it would have the word VapoInhaler as one word on the side. My review pertains ONLY to REAL VICKS Products. Please keep in mind that Vicks sublicenses out their design and basic ingredient list in foreign countries. If it doesn't say VAPOINHALER on the side, it is likely a Grey marekt product. I have checked around with a lot of other sinus sufferers and even with VICKS and they say that if the product does NOT say VapoInhaler on it - it ain't there's and that they do NOT manufacture in India but when I asked if they sublicensed, the lady didn't know. Wikipedia states: " Levomethamphetamine is a sympathomimetic vasoconstrictor which is the active ingredient used in some over-the-counter nasal decongestants including the US formulation of Vicks Vapor Inhaler, but not the Canadian or Indian formulations, which contain only menthol and camphor." So... if it doesn't smell right or look right, call Amazon and alert them that you are being sold counterfeit goods or grey market goods.

Here's my review of the REAL Vick's VapoInhale as formulated here in the USA and apparently only for sale at Walmarts these days:

The design of the USA Vicks Inhalor is one of the reasons it is so popular. No bigger than a chapstick, you can carry it anywhere. The two primary ingredients are the reliable Vicks Vapors and another medicine, L-Desoxyephedrine (vicks chooses to call it " Levmetamfetamine" )which can show up on some drug tests as an Amphetamine. That's why you should keep the card that it comes attached to in the event that your employer tests you shortly after you've used it. it's not considered terribly habit forming, but you shouldn't use it all the time.

I purchased this hoping it would be like the ones I used to get from Vicks. But it's not. It stinks!!! And is made in India. So, I called the Vicks Headquarters today and found out why there is a problem getting the original Vicks Vapoinhaler. That reason is --- it's been discontinued!!! Vicks doesn't make them any longer. If you happen to find a real one out there, it may be expired, so check it. That also explains why there are all these rip-off ones flooding the market. Vicks is going to check out the Amazon site to see what is going on if there are any products using their name. I am very sad to hear the real Vicks Inhaler won't be available any longer. I requested they reconsider this and begin making them again. So, if any of you out there feel the same way, then I encourage to to contact them at 1-800-873-8276 and make your feeling known. If enough people ask for them, maybe they will reconsider. By the way, the REAL Vicks Vapoinhaler was made in the USA!!!

The design of the Vicks Inhaler is one of the reasons it is so popular. No bigger than a chapstick, you can carry it anywhere. The two primary ingredients are the reliable Vicks Vapors and another medicine, L-Desoxyephedrine which can show up on some drug tests as an Amphetamine. That's why you should keep the card that it comes attached to in the event that your employer tests you shortly after you've used it. The medications in the inhalor are very powerful and you should follow the instructions carefully. Inhaling it more frequently than directed can cause nasal irritation.

This is a good product to have on hand when you need something to blast through serious stuffiness or just to clear out you nasal passages before going to sleep. I find the vapor scent very refreshing and oddly comforting. It's a good thing to use if you are so stuffed up that you can't even get nasal spray up you nostril. Clear your congestion temporarily with this and THEN apply nasal spray.

Make sure you keep the cap screwed on tightly and keep the inhaler out of the heat and damp. Don't leave in you car where it can heat up. If it's heated up drastically, it can cause irritation since the vapors will be intensely stronger. Just like a nasal spray, you should not use this for more than a few days.

This is a good product that can help you out when others don't work. A nice alternative to oral decongestants and it doesn't make you jumpy.

What I received was not what was pictured. The 12 inhalers were not packaged as shown, but were loose in a cardboard box. The box was closed, but not sealed. The individual inhalers were also not sealed in any way. Can't recall the last time I purchased anything that was taken internally -- that didn't have a tamper-proof seal! The design of the product was different as well. They had a very cheesey key-chain attached to the top. The little chains are very poor quality, as are the "O" rings securing them to the product cap. The rings appeared to have been squished closed with pliers, leaving them in the shape of a "Jesus fish," with two sharp ends protruding.

Not the quality that I'm used to from Proctor & Gamble, and isn't what was advertised. According to the box, this product was made in India. I'll buy my pharmaceuticals from the local drug store in the future.
