Mama Michelle, June 29, 2011
I came across this CD a few weeks ago when I was getting into some solo work by the Mamas and Papas. One might think that this late 70s solo album by Michelle Phillips (her only one) would not have much to offer. Not true, this is a nice record. It has a kind of 60s girl group feel in places and is not over produced like many late 70s records. I wish I had bought the expanded version, but it was just too much. If you are thinking about this CD and love the Mamas and Papas/60s pop music pick it up. A nice rarity for your collection and you can surprise people with how cool it is. Also Michelle is hot on the cover, she still looks pretty good.
