This review is from: Male Victims of Sexual Assault (Paperback)
I recently read about the sexual abuse of adult males alone and am about to read a book about the abuse of male minors. This book was interesting in that it spoke of both age groups. This may be the usual trend on this topic.
This is a British-produced book, but it relies heavily on American studies and sources. Perhaps more research has been done on this side of the pond.
I thought the list of chapters was quite thorough. Most of the chapters are easy enough to read. The book is not for psychology majors only. It also doesn't give numerous, graphic accounts of abuse. I do think psychology majors would finding the studies in here useful to quote for term papers.
As this book is more than a decade old, other writers may have expounded upon the topic. Still, this book was a laudable starting point.
