Product Description

Victor Hobo Spider Trap is a pre-baited trap with a lock-tab tent to hide crawling insects from direct view. Traps hobo spiders, no setting or baiting required. Hobo spiders are common and widespread in the Pacific Northwest. If Hobo spiders are present in and around a home, control measures are appropriate. 1 Package contains 4 Hobo Spider Traps. This is 6 packages so it's 24 traps total.

We have caught countless brown recluses in these, which is why we bought them. They do the job perfectly. The recluses never get past the very edge of the glue before they are stuck fast. For recluses, if you don't have a pet or child that will get into them, I recommend leaving the traps flat rather than folding them into the tent shape; in our experience, we catch more by keeping them flat and lining them parallel along the walls.

I gave these 4 rather than 5 stars, because they are substantially more expensive than the Catchmaster bulk offering. I actually prefer the Victor traps for a few reasons (they are bigger, and the Catchmaster traps have printing on the glue face that makes it hard to see from a distance whether you've caught anything), but if you need a ton of traps like we do, the 75-count box of Catchmaster traps is a better value.

Caught 25 spiders on one trap in 2 months time. Works for even the monster sized ones. It's all about quantity and placing them in the right area. Heres a tip to get more life out of one trap. Fold it into the triangle position. When the floor side gets filled with too many spiders tip it over and you have a new floor. Like 3 trap in one.

These work great. I leave them around the perimeter of my home and I've caught quite a few Hobo Spiders. This is a much better option than pesticide.

These are great! I didn't want to spray poison around my house. I have dogs and a pet tarantula. I put one in my closet & couldn't believe how many brown recluses I had stuck on it after 2 months. SCARY! But its that many more that are gone. I fold them because my small Chihuahua is very curious. But you can flip them over every few months & they last a long time.

I have a couple of brands, this one, Victor, and the Trapper brand. So far, the Victor has caught/killed many more spiders. Its "footprint" is about the size a a small ladies' shoe. The plastic removable film over the glue is less likely to tear or shred upon removal before use than the Trapper's film, which is a bit flimsy. The Victor's size also doesn't have to be replaced as quickly. The spiders caught/killed are Hobos, Brown Recluses, and others, all of small-medium size, that happen to travel along the floor where it meets the baseboard or wall, all three floors of our home and in the garage in the same area by the passage door into the house. The Victor smells a bit like sweet peanut butter, at least to me, when it's opened and put in place, but in our home and in the garage the smell does not linger. I prefer that my fingers never get too close to dead-or-alive spiders/bugs, snakes or mice, so I use cheap Dollar Tree tongs to move bug/laden sticky traps for disposal or for repositioning clean/cleaner traps in another location. Sometimes I place a small piece of foil on a small part of the corner of the used, full trap, pull the trap off the tongs and throw the trap into the trash bag. I AM SO GRATEFUL for this product. Home Depot shoppers are as well, because I was hoping to pick up a few more there the other day, but they were sold out, at least for that day. This product is going to be a huge help when the weather gets colder here in CO. Also, if you have critters that aren't getting snagged by Victor, move the traps to an adjacent area. Don't give up on these.

We use these to catch brown recluses at our cabin. The work well and keep the population in check. It is spooky when several appear on these boards because it makes it clear they are around. I will continue to use this brand.

I was unfortunately bit by a Hobo Spider last year and so bought a bundle of these to aid in my new found fear of spiders. Now, we never see spiders in our home and I am not sure where I was bit but nonetheless put these everywhere. I also gave to my college kids. They are very easy to set up and affordable, come fast and are animal safe.... After antibiotic, tetanus shot and necrosis on my arm I felt these aiding in giving my family peace of mind. Yes, I am fine now except for a yucky scar I will have fixed by plastic surgeon soon. So, if you have these little buggers get a bunch of these and please seek treatment if bit with your doctors approval.
PS: My spider bite in left two holes quite close together when it bit me. That will help you identify. Good luck. These work. We also get house sprayed too. Good Luck! Happy Hunting!!
