The bulb burnt out a few weeks in, most likely because I handled it roughly and have faulty outlets. However!! This magic light with sticky paper not inu kept my kitty happy while I was at work, because it was a warm, sunny glow, but it seemed to suck the fleas right out of my carpet and her fur! The bulbs are easy to replace, the sticky pads are cheap and work WONDERFULLY! I bought refills right away, because members of my family have ones in there houses :D

This trap does not use chemicals, sprays or other harmful components. It is just a light that also makes heat, and a sticky pad. I use it on occasion to catch wandering ants, little flying bugs, spiders, etc. I leave it on for a night. The trap has a light source that attracts some bugs, and the same bulb is a heat source, that attracts other bugs. There are two sticky pads in the box, and one lasts a long time, if you don't have an infestation, of course.

Don't waste your money on this, fleas are no more attracted to the light than anything else. A sticky trap (without the light) is all you need, and that isn't even truly effective against a flea infestation. I was afraid to leave it plugged in while I wasn't home and just as a many fleas were "caught" when the light was off, as when it was on. I checked daily. The bulb burnt out within two weeks - and that was only about ten hours of use total.

the only fleas caught are the ones i put there just to make sure it at least sticks!... I have moved it to where i KNOW fleas to be, and none voluntarily "marched into the light"! I usually purchase with the help of the reviews, but it seems, as i'm learning the hard way, they can be false as well. 1 star only because of how quickly it arrived, probably because sellers didn't want to risk the customer changing their minds. VERY dissatisfied!

I purchased this item to try to get rid of a flea problem in my home. I placed the trap right next to the dog's bed for 3 days straight, not one single flea went into the trap. I know my dog has fleas because I have seen them on her this past week. I then placed the trap in different parts of the home, and not one single flea went into the trap, if it did it would of stuck right to the tape. Do not waste your money of this product it does not work.

I used this item in conjunction with a spray treatment for the carpet / furniture as well as treating the cat's and it did not seem to work very well. The glue pads were also very painful to place inside the trap and I had to throw away 2 because they were stuck to each other out of the package. The product itself is very poorly and cheaply made and is not sturdy; if you happen to drop something on this or step on it accidentally it is game over.

I have spent $thousands on Amazon and never written a review. These traps ROCK!!! Highly recommended!!!

I have had cats all my life and never had a flea problem.

We have a cat door. Our cats and others enjoy the door and the food.

We came back from a short vacation and the fleas were eating me alive.

At first we were counting the caught fleas daily - now that is impossible.

AWESOME!!! I will be ordering a couple more for other rooms/floors.

I was encouraged by the reviews and maybe expected to see more after setting this thing up near where my cats sleep for the night, but it didn't catch anything except some lint. i even moved it to where the cats sleep during the daytime (near my kids beds) expecting to "lure" the fleas off and more proximity exposure - nope, didn't work either. maybe this is for cats with more fleas, not just a few per cat, but didn't do what i expected.

We adopted a stray cat. The only problem is that Scruffy was fighting a major flea problem. I didn't want to use chemicals on this poor cat, so we put him in the back of the house for a while, along with one of these per room. It worked great at attracting fleas the the little light bulb and the sticky paper at the base of the unit.l

It worked so well that we don't have a cat with fleas anymore. I'm very happy with this solution.

We did not have a really bad infestation of the fleas. We put it on the floor where the cat spends most of the time. We did have a lot of fleas of various sizes jump on it. The cat loves it. He sleeps by it. Along with the Frontline, we are virtually flea free. We are getting ready to fog the house again to be sure they are all gone. We are also getting ready to change the sticky pad and see if we get more fleas. I would buy it again.
