Safe for kids and pets, the Victor Multi Kill Electronic Mouse Trap features a built-in safety switch that automatically deactivates the trap whenever its door is open. Additionally, its unique tunnel design makes all electrical components inaccessible to pets and curious fingers. Simply bait the trap and turn on. An indicator light tells the user when a mouse has been trapped and when the collection drawer is full. The Multi-Kill traps and kills up to 150 mice per set of batteries, which are included with the trap. Known as the power tool of rodent control, the Multi-Kill can be used for years to ensure advanced mouse control.
Location, Location, Location!
This is the most important rule to ensure success when it comes to mouse trapping. Place your trap near high rodent activity areas based on thorough inspections. Spacing traps evenly every 10 feet may appear visually as “thorough coverage and protection” of the room. However, such placements make little sense if the majority of mouse activity is actually located in only a small corner of the room behind clutter.
Importance of the First Night
Statistics show that more mice are trapped on the first night than on any other night. After three or four nights of trapping, the catch may drop to zero. For this reason, it is essential to use a large number of traps initially.
Offer Multiple Bait Choices
When many rodents are involved, different types of baits should be used. Individuals in a rodent population forage for different types of food. Therefore, it pays to divide the traps up and bait some percentage with meats such as bacon bits, some with peanut butter smudges, and some with nesting material like dental floss. Bait that matches what the rodents are currently feeding on should also be used (i.e. potato chips).
Monitor Activity
Check traps regularly and continue to trap until signs of rodent activity dissipate.
Always Wear Gloves
Human odors on traps are not likely to deter mice as our odors are present on the various objects mice investigate and consume. Moreover, the odors associated with human touch only last for a few hours. However, for personal hygiene and biohazard awareness, disposable gloves should always be worn when installing or recovering a mouse trap.

Have a place in the country that mice just love. Had used the one mouseelectronic trap by Victor but if you cannot check it every day the mouse would decay and you ended up tossing the whole thing away, not cheap. So upgraded with two of these traps, one for the main floor and another for the attic. They have been in only for a few days and they are great, both have caught mice and could not be more pleased with a product. Now I can be gone for a week or two and problem is solved. Hope to update this review again and see how they work long term but so far a top notch product. Now March of 2011 and one unit has stopped working the other is still doing its job.

I have both the M260 Multi-Kill and the Victor Electronic Rat TrapVictor Electronic Rat Trap and the Rat trap, kills both mice and rats. Although the M260 is multikill mice rarely ever go inside. Even though the Rat trap is a single kill, before emptying, I have killed 20+ mice with the Rat trap and only one mouse with the multi-Kill. Rather that waste my money again on the multikill I would purchase several of the single kills, and if necessary, place them side by side or in multiple locations.

I've been using this trap for a little over a month now, and I am completely sold. Not only is it very easy to set up and monitor, the results are pretty amazing. Mice seem unable to resist the lure, and the brilliant trap design ensures that once they come in they don't come out. The little pests are disposed of in a quick, painless, and humane manner. No mess, no fuss.In my opinion, the folks at Victor have designed a MUCH better mousetrap!
