The PestChaser's high-frequency ultrasound doesn't kill rodents, but rather creates an environment that is uncomfortable for them, so they simply leave. PestChaser uses a complex, non-repetitive frequency with multiple peaks between 32 and 62 kHz, so rodents don't have the chance to get used to the sound.

The ultrasonic sound waves are completely inaudible to people, dogs, cats, birds, and fish (PestChaser should not be used around pet rodents). Don't waste your money,

I was hopeful because a similar product was used at my job and seems to have worked. I bought this for my condo and spotted a mouse not even three feet away from the PestChaser Wall Unit. I checked the devise and the light was lit indicating it was working. What a disappointment! Mice are not repelled by this item; they look at it and laugh! This product doesn't even deserve a star.

I will say I had a really stubborn rat in my house, I tried a lot of things that didn't work before old fashioned poison finally did the trick and this was one of the things that had zero effect.
