Product Description

Size: 3-Pack

Why deal with having to dispose of dead mice caught in ordinary traps? This keeps the mice from wanting to stay in your nice food-filled home! The Victor Mini PestChaser emits high frequency sound waves that effectively repel rodents from protected areas. For use in average-sized rooms, kitchens, garages, attics and basements. The sound is completely inaudible to people and non-rodent pets. Varying intensity and frequencies of ultrasonic sound waves prevents rodents from getting used to the Victor Mini PestChaser. Since the sound is inaudible, a red LED light tells you the unit is working properly. It's kinder than traps, safer than poisons, and there are no dead rodents to dispose of so it minimizes human contact with mice, rats, and other disease-bearing rodents. Reduction in rodent activity should occur within 6-10 days. Estimated service life of the unit is 5-7 years or more. Note: Ultrasonic sound cannot penetrate furniture, cabinets or walls. Multiple units required for multiple rooms.

Not that they're loud but they do emit a buzzing sound.

We had a nightmare of a mouse problem that sprung up seemingly overnite. We tried all kinds of traps and the mice could not be tricked. We finally decided to try these things, although I thought they seemed like a total crock. Well, we placed 4 of them throughout our 700 square foot studio apartment and that night we heard some intense chewing - we had just filled all of the holes in our walls and so I assume it was a mouse trying to chew its way out - and ever since that night we have had no more mouse problems. It's been months now and we haven't seen a single sign of a mouse. Amazing.

after recieving and using this product, i haven't seen mice in my room. i don't know where they've went and i'm wondering how they're doing. hopefully they have found a nice neighborhood where they aren't being judged for who they are and can live without worrying about being killed. by me. i am a warrior.

I decided I needed to write a review since there are a lot of negative reviews and I believe most of those reviewers aren't using the product correctly. If you watch the video, it simple states the ultra-sonic frequency bounces of hard surfaces and is absorbed by soft surfaces. So if you put it in your kitchen and expect to have it keep mice out of the cabinets, you may be disappointed. If the mice are coming through the walls or from the basement through openings where pipes go through, they may never be in your open space, but protected from the sound by the cabinets or even the walls.

The key to using these is to use them in the areas where mice are entering. And I think doing what you can to plug entry points also is a good idea. Prior to using these, we would have them in our kitchen - visible in the drawers and under the stove. We did what we could to try to plug holes where they may be entering with steel wool. This helped but didn't solve it. We then had our master bedroom done and I put poison in the attic. They ate the poison, but we could also hear them dragging it around in the ceiling above us - it was very annoying having just re-done the room.

It was at this point, we decided to do 2 things. We had an electrician install outlets in the attic so we could cover the attic space with 3 units - enough to cover all our space. We also put them in our basement in available outlets to try to cover our entire basement and garage area (prior to this we just had them plugged in into our kitchen outlet and bathroom on the first floor). I also still keep sticky traps in our basement (in the same spots I've caught MANY before). We do not have any on our first floor since we figured they were traveling in the walls and they wouldn't be effective.

I was skeptical about these, but since I could return them for my money back and I really wanted the mice to stay out (rather than to kill them after they got in!), I decided to give them a try. (I bought Model#: M753.) Before I bought these, I was catching 1-2 mice/day in traps. After plugging in the sonic repellers in the areas where I had been catching mice, I left the previous traps set and baited, as a test to see if there were still mice running around. NOTE: Advertising says the sonic waves are not audible to humans. NOT TRUE FOR THIS HUMAN! They make a very loud, continual, high-pitched squealing sound. Luckily, the areas I had been catching mice were in the garage and in the storage area under the stairs where I keep the door shut. So I've been able to block out the noise by having it behind closed doors. Since plugging in the repellers, NOT A SINGLE MOUSE HAS SHOWN UP in any of the traps!! This is a significant difference! It has only been 1 1/2 weeks, but before plugging them in, I would have caught many mice in that time. So it seems like they work great at repelling mice. I would recommend them only if you have an area that is wide-open so the sonic waves don't get blocked (it explains this on the packaging--I have to put them at the end of extension cords to get them out into the open), and only if you can close off the areas where you've seen mouse activity so that the noise the sonic repellers give off doesn't drive you bonkers. Oh, and my cats, who used to stalk the mice, no longer act like there are any mice around, and they don't have any reaction when they're near the doors behind which the sonic repellers are doing their high-pitched squealing. Even though there are a few caveats in my opinion, I give these 5 stars because the mice now appear to be staying away! If mice show up even with these things plugged in, I will update this review because I feel very strongly about it. So if there is no update, it means the mice are still staying away!

We have a 120yr. old home - planks w/lath & horsehair plaster - that we have lived in for 28yrs. EVERY fall we get mice. We tried everything to keep them out. The spare bedroom ceiling & our living room ceiling was "mouse central" & was so embrassing when people stayed over. This year we bought these pest chasers & we haven't had one mouse yet. NOT ONE! We put one in the basement where we see dropings, one in the spare bedroom, one in the ceiling of the living room (we have a porcelian socket w/plug up there) & the other on the wall they scooted up. The things are very small & buzz gently but the sound is not too bad. We bought them based on Victor's rep with pest control. We are very happy with them. We are shocked but very happy. We have an 11yr. old cat who misses her late night chases but has never shown any signs she even knows the things are pluged in.
