I actually do not know anybody who has heard Laurie Berkner who doesn't love her music. Kids or adults. It's hard to pick a favorite album, but this one has a lot of my kids' favorite songs. "Moon, Moon, Moon" is something my daughter sings at least twice a day. The first time I heard the song "Victor Vito" was in a playground.A mom was pushing her 4 year old daughter on a swing, and they were both singing it. It's not the kind of song you expect to hear on a swing. It's got a non-swing beat, but they made it work. Then we got the album, went to a bunch of her concerts, and we're hooked. The kids also like to listen to Dan Zaynes, Brady Rymer, Peter,Paul & Mary, but Berkner is their big love. My daughter even says "good night, Laurie" every night. The grandparents don't get that kind of treatment.

My 2 children (Daniel 6 1/2 and Grace 2 1/2) have been listening to and loving Laurie Berkner since my daughter was an infant. My daughter so loves Laurie's music that, for a time, she changed her name to Laurie (in tribute, we think).Victor Vito is an intelligent and entertaining album meant for kids under 7, but those of us approaching 40 enjoy it as well. My son, who is almost 7, still thoroughly enjoys all of Laurie's albums. Just yesterday he referred to "Buzz Buzz" as one of his favorites. Laurie's music is indispensable for car trips, bedtime music, and dancing around the living room.

I got this cd from the library before we took our just-turned-two-year old on a long car trip. We listened to this cd over and over and over on that trip, and honestly everyone in the car enjoyed it.

Victor Vito, if you haven't heard it already on Noggin, is upbeat, fun, and singable the first time through; it is our favorite song on the album. But there are other funny fast songs that are fun to sing, like Goldfish, Bottlecaps, Oleanna, and Shakin' Down the Sugar. Some songs are slower, of course, (Moon Moon Moon makes a nice lullaby) and I love the message of I'm Not Perfect.

It is a rare thing to find a CD that my son and I both like (and my husband), and that makes Victor Vito worth its weight in gold.

This is our families favorite children's CD (along with Laurie Berkner's other albums). I was surprised to find that even my husband liked this one. As a mom, I enjoy the sound of the music. Laurie has a great bluesy voice, and the lyrics are funny to listen to. I personally am not grinding my teeth over the songs...unlike some other preschool albums. One thing my 3 year old son and I REALLY like the most about all of Laurie's music, is the "physical play" fun that you can have with the songs. When your kinda bored on a rainy day, you can put it on and do all kinds of crazy and fun dances or gestures that go with the lyrics ie: "I feel crazy so I jump in the soup", or doing all the silly things that the fishies do in the song "Goldfish". This CD and her other one "Whaddya think of that?", are similar fun in that same manner. From romping like dinosaurs to being fruits in the fruit salad salsa. I think your preschool child AND YOU will enjoy them. This is now going to be my new gift idea for the preschoolers in our life.

My 17-month-old daughter and I dance around all day to the songs on this CD! We've loved Laurie Berkner since finding her on Noggin! Thanks, Laurie Berkner, for giving us some music that the whole family can enjoy! Even my husband knows the words! Highly recommended! We'll be giving Laurie Berkner CDs as birthday gifts! UPDATE JANUARY 2006: My daughter is now 26 months old and still loving Laurie. She knows the words to all the songs, and I think Laurie's CDs have helped her with her language skills, because there is so much repetition in the songs. Repetition is so important for toddlers, so we keep playing it, much to my daughter's delight!

Skeptical of any child-focused CD (after many disappointments), I put this CD, sent as a birthday gift, into the CD player. When my husband walked in the door, I was singing, laughing and dancing with our children. Even more critical than I, my husband immediately asked who the artist was and requested more of her music. It is an everyday favorite now. My 2 year old daughter asks for the "spaghetti (victor vito)" song repeatedly and my 4 1/2 year old wants to pretend he is a fish. We enjoy all of the songs (some more than others) and I am on-line buying it for the next birthday of every child I know.

It is rare when my kids and I enjoy the same music. When we got Laurie Berkner's "Victor Vito" it immediately went to the top of the play list in our house. These tunes are so good, and the lyrics so funny and interesting, you will play them over and over. In fact, I've played the CD so many times, now I can't get the songs out of my head!

I first heard laurie Berkner on a today show childrens concert and could not get her music out of my 46 year old head. I searched local stores, could not find it, and was thrilled to order all of her cds on Amazon. We play the songs constantly in the car on short and long car trips, and they are both my 3 year old son's and my favorites. The lyrics are wonderful, melodies great and songs are just the right length, with a variety of subjects. Laurie's music raises the bar for all children's music in creativity, originality, and pure fun. I hope she keeps producing more. Sting and Madonna certainly were not wrong in finding the best new talent in childrens music today. It is great to have someone else with the energy of Jessica Harper's Music and even more variety and originality in song content.

Laurie is amazing! My 3 year old daughter wants to sing and dance as loudly as she can to all of Laurie's works. Each song has charater and chrasmia. We have seen her live and both of us have the greatest time at the concert! It is better than any live band I have seen!

I am a mother of a 2 year old. Since she was born I have been singing to her. I sing opera, showtunes, rock even eminem. I had a really hard time finding childrens music I liked and was tolerable to listen to OVER AND OVER AGAIN. well the search is over!! Laurie Berkner's CD is quirky and funny and really catchy --toddlers are goofy and they view the world so magically and this music hooks into that. I love Victor Vito and moon, moon, moon. My daughter knows most of them by heart and LOVES to dance to them. I would buy all of her CD's.
