Victoria Spivey is one of the most appealing blues vocalists from the 1920's. She is more of a torch singer then most blues shouters like Bessie Smith or Maa Rainey. She sings about things many other singers of her genere would never sing about. She wrote many of her own blues about harsh things or double entendre. A truly great siger. She should appeal to jazz vocal fans.
