When we reviewed this book for our website, the Erik Homemade(R) studio really enjoyed the book for the pure inspiration is stirred in all of us. The postcards from Ms Cockrell's collection are wonderful and the poems, thoughts, and sentiments should prove useful for today's crafter, whether for embroidery, cardmaking, or scrapbooking. The book has interactive lift-up pages, not to mention the pull out gift card on page 2!

The CD is sombering and meaningful. Mr Baldassari's mandolin interpretations are thought-provoking...

Anyone who loves the idea of a vintage Christmas, from collectors to crafters will enjoy this book and the enclosed CD will only add to the delight!

If you love anything Victorian as I do, you will LOVE this! Got it on Amizon for a great deal and just love it. Want to order more for gift giving next Christmas. Two thumbs up!

Located inside the very back of the book is a clear, soft plastic pouch which contains a CD filled with fifteen traditional Christmas Carols. For those who prefer their Christmas Carols without vocals, the melody of these beautifully arranged instrumentals will be gift enough. Published by Thomas Nelson, Inc. this book & CD combo will make a lovely Christmas gift. The only reason I did not leave a 5 Star Rating is because the soft plastic pouch which contains the CD slipped off the back of each book right out of the shipping box. I did not return them because the only indication anything had been on the back page of each book was discoloration from the adhesive residue. Gluing the pouches back into place covered any & all signs a problem ever existed. However, I would recommend using Rubber Glue.

My husband bought this book for me because not only do I love Christmas but I also love music. When I received the book there was NO CD in it! Now we have to go to the trouble of returning it. You would think that they would let us know if the CD was not available. I wouldnt have let him purchase it for me otherwise.

I knew this was geared toward children perhaps (from other reviews) but since I was seeking to educate myself on Victorian Christmas of the late 1800's - early 1900's it seems a good pictoral and prose education. I wasn't disappointed. The music cd in the back was a pleasant bonus too!
