Editorial Reviews

From Library Journal

These four romantic novellas focus on women who find their true loves at Christmastime. Palmer's Angel in the Attic tells of Fara Canaday, a wealthy heiress who is certain that every man who courts her is after her money until she finds a wounded (Christian) man in the snow. Dianna Crawford's A Daddy for Christmas has lighthouse keeper Tess Winslow taking in sea captain Lovett Keegan after his boat is capsized in a storm. Peggy Stoks's Tea for Marie concerns the confusion Marie Biggs feels, searching for Christian values, when she must choose between two suitors. In the final story, Kathie Chute's Going Home, Charles Foster Devereaux returns home to his plantation in Louisiana and falls in love with the strongly Christian daughter of the new owners. All four stories are entertaining, with believable and often witty characterizations. A fine choice for Christmastime reading that includes a recipe from each author.

This book is perfect for the Holidays. I now plan to read the book every year. I am presently reading the story of the Christmas Cottage and the quilt series is next on my list! Nothing better to warm ones heart than romance at Christmas time! You'll love it! And the recipes at the end of every story are a Perfect ending!

In the season rush... this book was a gift that allowed me to just slip away for awhile. I loved the stories. This is a great gift for the romance book addict or just someone who needs a quick pick me up in the middle of a hectic life.

4.0 out of 5 stars Well written stories and great recipes!, October 24, 1998
By A Customer
I enjoyed this book with the variety of short stories set in various locations in the US during the Victorian era. Great characters and subject matter. The recipes at the end of each novella is something mentioned in the story. The recipes actually have a history of their own. This is a book worth reading.
