Classical influences of the 1840s and 1850s and concurrent designs, including free-flowing and naturalistic forms of the Art Nouveau period, are all present, reflecting the brilliant skills of these Victorian glass manufacturers.

As of 2011, this 2002 reference book remains a definitive work on Victorian fancy glass ... accepting the torch passed by Manley, this extremely informative book is simply saturated with stunning pictures, photos, close-ups of Victorian colored glass illustrating an informative text. This is a fantastic effort - not to be missed by the Victorian lover - a great, great visual experience.
