Since I've already done the Victorian Home coloring book by Dover, this book is a natural addition to my collection. There's something here for every activity you might imagine for your Victorian lady and her fashionable offspring. Everything from a night at the theater to a day at the races is covered here, and for students of fashion history -- be advised that all is authenticated from historical data.

The possibilities of adding this in to other craft projects is absolutely dizzying and delicious! Be good to yourself and buy it!

A simply great book! IF you or your kids like the Victorian Era you will love this book. The fashions of the Victorian Age were unique and beyond belief. The dresses took yards and yards of cloth to create and their complexity was unmatched. This coloring book recreates that complexity and beauty wonderfully. It is a real joy to make your own Victorian statement or join with your young ones in a joint project.

The pages in this book are "see through," that is, they are printed on a paper that resembles velum - called a stain glass coloring book by Dover Press. It is easy to use color pencil or other medium such as pastels. I think the pastels, secured by fixative after application, turn out a very appealing result.

Other Dover coloring books with this same "stained glass" format are also really fun. I highly recommend the book.
