This book has a large number of copyright-free monograms. It does not have as many as 5000 Decorative Monograms for Artists and Craftspeople (Dover Pictorial Archive Series), for obvious reasons. I still felt that having both was worthwhile, because this book gives many examples in a few more closely related styles, whereas the other one was a wider variety of styles, but if you're budget-conscious, I'd recommend the other book I linked.

I paid $24 for this book only to receive it and the price is stamped on the back "$9.95 in USA"! I would look for this book elsewhere.
