The pictures in the book are not bad quality, but thoes produced by the cd-rom are grainy, scratchy and very poor quality. not worth the effort, much less the money. keep on looking, better are out there.

To my disappointment, I found that I already had most of these photos in another Dover publication (the same is true of the similar Old-Fashioned Children's Photos book.) There MAY be a few new photos, but most of them are already published. If you already have a collection of Dover historical fashion books, you may already have these. I'm planning to send my copy of this book back....I don't need to pay this much for photos that I already have.

The photos are great. Each photo has a number but I wish there was a appendix telling what the numbers indicate. Perhaps there is one on the disc but I haven't looked at it yet. Even if it is on the disc it would have been helpful to have one in the book itself.

"Victorian Women's Fashion Photos: 239 Royalty-Free Designs" showcases period photographs of women's Victorian era clothing ranging from the 1840s to 1900 and will be of especial interest to costume designers and students of women's fashion.
