Product Description

Two stage knife sharpener from Victorinox for super sharp, polished edges. Draw dull knife through the coarse "tan" stones several times to bring the original edge back and then draw the sharp blade through the fine "white" stones to polish the edge for long-lasting sharpness. The stones guide the blade to a perfect angle every time and sharpen both sides of the blade simultaneously.

This is a great quick sharpener. While it is not a diamond honing bar it is a very quick and effective way to maintain an edge on your knife. I am a career chef and so having sharp blades is a must for me and while i would never use this on my high end blades but it works for my abused blades (blades i butcher with, in case they chip on a bone... i don't want to lose a pricey knife to a bone!) However, with that said it didn't seem to last very long, maybe 2 to three months is all. To be fair through i used it more than an average chef would because i work in a kitchen and so it did its job well and for the price it was more than satisfactory. I would recommend it to friends for cheap stamped blade sharping but i would never use it on expensive forged blades.
