These knives are always in Cooks Illustrated- rated #1. The Fibrox handles are comfortable and slip resistant. These knives are all your kitchen needs. Made by the Swiss Army knife company, you know thse are quality. Super sharp!

I've had my Victorinox knives for over 15 years and they still perform beautifully. I would add a bread knife to this collection and a 10" chef's knife, and you have a set that will provide you with many years of service. I went into the store prepared to spend $150 for three top quality knives in 1995, and left with five Victorinox for $50--to me this was a bargain. I also really like the balance of the knives, I find them very comfortable and the non-slip handles a big help and safety feature.

I just bought these knives to give as a Christmas gift. Since I already own all of them, I know they are excellent knives and a great deal at [...] bucks (I paid $[...] for just the large chef knife 2 years ago) The 2 smaller knives are great for slicing small tomatoes, sandwiches, and general peeling and slicing (of all of them, the small serrated knife is the one I absolutely could not live without.) Anyway, the only problem I have is with the packaging. The Amazon box came with each knife in a cheap clear plastic sleeve and all of them wrapped together in brown craft paper. Not exactly gift ready. I had assumed that they would come packaged together as a set. I'm still giving it 5 stars because of the excellent value on quality knives.

Excellent knife composition. Sharpness is wonderful. Great to have a knife you actually have to use good safety precautions with; requires less WORK - wonderful.

I use these knives all the time. They are nice and sharp and are comfortable to use. I also love the fact that, unlike my more expensive knives, I can throw them in the dishwasher once in a while. Very convenient.

For the price, I don't think you can beat these knives.

These knives are great: extremely sharp and hold an edge for a long time. I've had mine for over a year and they're still sharp, with just the usual use of the steel. The blades are thinner and lighter than some other brands, but still seem to be strong and don't bend. I recommend the Victorinox bread knife to complete the set. I am leaving 4 stars because this didn't came as a set. Each knife is packed separately and the handles are different. Though, they are nice.

I am very pleased with the quality and value of these knives. I was looking for a nice transition from cheap knives to the fancy, but wasn't sure where to start so I purchased these and couldn't love them more. I have had them many months and they are still very sharp (used 5-7 days per week, hand washed, and stored in cases). The price is unbelievable for what you receive. There will definitely be more Victorinox knives adding to my collection!

These knives are very sharp and perform beautifully. They are comfortable to grip. The price is extremely reasonable. I like that they are dishwasher safe. Wood handles would warp in the dishwasher.

Victorinox makes high quality knives. The swiss army knife collection includes everything from tiny pocket knives to versatile combination knives that barely fit in your pocket. Each is a high quality tool designed to last a lifetime.
But nobody pays full price for these.
Even Amazon's 50% off price for this Chef's price is rather expensive.
