Handy but not the most durable,
By
This review is from: Victorinox Swisscard Lite, Onyx (Sports)
Victorinox Swisscard Lite, Onyx It's quite handy to use however it isn't the most durable while in the wallet. The card will slowly split and will make the tools fall out when taken out of your wallet. If you want to make this last you might not want to put this in your wallet or put it in your back pocket.
I learned my lesson after the first time and keep it in my backpack. Otherwise this is a great tool to have on you.

Flat Swiss Army knife,
By
This review is from: Victorinox Swisscard Lite, Onyx (Sports)
I love the "flat" version of the small Swiss Army knife. It fits in my pocket so much better than a regular knife and it has more features. I particularly like the ballpoint pen. I don't normally carry a pen, so by having one that is part of my knife I am always covered. I don't use the light much, but I do use the twizzers, the pin, the scissors, the knife, the magnifying glass and the screwdrivers all the time. All of these items are made of high quality materials and because they are always with me I find that I use them at times I wouldn't expect to, simply because they are available and easy to access. It's a great product and on the rare occasion when I forget to put it in my pocket, I quickly realize how much I depend on my "flat" Swiss Arm knife every day!

Extremely handy - a great product,
By Somehow, Victorinox fits 13 tools into this space - you can see most tools from the outside because Lites are translucent. 7 of the tools are the same as the SwissCard Classic - 1. Small blade/letter opener. 2. Scissors, 3-4. Mini-ruler (cm and inches), 5. Stainless steel pin, 6. Ballpoint pen, and 7. Tweezers. SwissCard Lites have 6 more tools than the Classic - 8. an LED mini-light, 9. magnifier, and 10-13. four screwdriver bits (3mm, 5mm, Phillips 00-0 and Phillips 1-2). Needless to say, it's useful to have SwissCards around at school or work, around the home or on the go. The blade is good for opening letters (you'll want a Swiss Army knife for a strong blade); the pin and scissors are great for opening packages or cutting paper. It's always useful to have a pen around. We use the ruler to measure products in inches and millimeters. The light is a good safety item for seeing in the dark, such as a keyhole. The screwdriver bits are good for opening computers and office equipment. So all in all, it's a winner! Highly recommended.

Product arrived well in time. It is as per the specifications.. just perfect. Sleek, useful and easy to carry. Fits the wallet and only slightly thicker then the credit card. OOps ! can not carry this on your person on flight.

When my friends first see this gadget in my wallet, they usually make fun of me for trying to be MacGyver. However, it's often only a matter of minutes before they're asking to borrow the scissors (for me, the most useful/loaned feature), a pen (great for when someone's stolen the one at the ATM), a flashlight, a screwdriver, et cetera. You can even start a fire with the magnifier if you get lost somewhere, and the ruler comes in handy more often than you might think. The pin would appear to be the least useful item of the lot, but I've made use of it in opening CD-ROM drives and the like that require a narrow object (usually a paperclip) for opening manually.
The only downside to this that I could see would be forgetting to take out the knife (and maybe the scissors?) before you try to step on an airplane with it in your pocket. They do sell replacements for all the parts in case you lose one or have it confiscated somewhere. I also think this item would be a little more popular if it came down in price, but I've definitely gotten my money's worth out of it.

I own both a Swiss Card as well as a traditional Swiss Army Knife, but the Swiss Card is the one I carry on a daily basis, and it sees 95% of my overall use. It gets the job done.
Today, I came across a guy who was stuck because the strap of his backpack was hopelessly jammed into a locked door. I offered to cut him loose, and he immediately accepted. I keep this multitool in my wallet, so it took about five seconds for me to pull out my mini scissors and clip the strap. With the moral of the story, of course, being Be Prepared: having a multitool lets me take care of little problems on the fly. Rather than thinking "Hmm, that screw needs tightened" and never bothering to track down a screwdriver, I just reach into my pocket, pop out the mini screwdriver from my multitool, and take care of the problem. No fuss, no stress. I know this all reads like some kind of ad, and in a way, I guess it is. Few people carry around pocket knives or multitools, but they're as useful today as they were fifty years ago. Since I started carrying one with me, I've been amazed at how often it's been useful in bizarre situations like the one I encountered today.

Gave this as a Christmas gift. It is very well crafted with many useful tools in a flat form. The pen is a surprising addition that can come in such handy sometimes. This is great because it can fit easier into a wallet or pocket and not be uncomfortable.

This is probably one of my favorite Victorinox tools, right up there with the Alox classic. The reason being that they both offer a lot of functions in a small, lightweight and compact package. I bought the onyx and like it so much I am thinking about grabbing the red one as well, besides wallet carry I think another great use for it would be in a mini first aid kit. The thin knife, tweezers and straight pin are sharp and precise and would be perfect for things like blisters, splinters etc. The magnifying glass is very useful as well as the led light, good backup for a flashlight just in case. Whether for wallet, first aid kit, desk duty etc. I think everyone should have one of these. Extremely convenient and useful. Finally, its pretty cheap (considering its Victorinox quality) so they are easy to replace. As usual the Swisscard Lite is another well thought out, quality design from Victorinox and gets a 10/10!

I love gadgets. I'm the type of person that would carry a swiss army knife every day, but i dont. I know if i did it would get lost, not to mention that it would interfere with all of the other crap i carry in my pockets... this is an excellent alternative. I have the perfect compartment in my wallet to accommodate this. Very happy to have a credit card sized swiss army knife!!!
