About Victorinox
In 1884, Swiss cutler Karl Elsener set up shop in Ibach-Schwyz, installing a waterwheel in Tobelbach Brook to run his grinding and polishing machines. Thus began what would become the international brand name Victorinox, a combination of Victoria, for Elsener's mother, and "inox," or stainless steel. Today, Victorinox produces watches, luggage, clothing, and, famously, Swiss Army Knives. The original product dates to 1897, when Elsener patented the Swiss Officer's and Sports Knife he supplied to the Swiss Army. Following World War II, American servicemen and women shopping in PX stores shortened the name to Swiss Army Knife, which lives on in English-speaking countries around the world and has become a metaphor for versatility.

As you can see by the title of this review, I'm so excited about the new Midnite Manager that I've lost grasp of the English language.
I carried around the older version of this knife for a few years. It was exactly the same, but had a red light instead of the new white light. I often thought to myself "This knife sure is swell, but the red light isn't as useful as a white one would be." Well, Victorinox crawled inside my brain, scooped out that thought, and made it come true! Every tool on this thing comes in handy, the bottle opener, screwdriver, scissors, blade. Even the tools I don't use very often myself come in handy - my wife is always borrowing it in the car to file her nails, or at the grocery store to cross things off her list with the pen. The new white light is surprisingly bright for its size. You won't be landing airplanes with it or anything, but it's gobs better than the old red one. It's hard to imagine something as small as this being as useful as it is, but it's just that good. If I ever forget to carry it with me I'm usually reaching for it within an hour for some purpose or another, only to discover that it isn't there. And that's when the sobbing begins.

A really good knife from Victorinox. It's a swiss army knife, of course it is great. Never rusts, Never malfunctions. The only problem I have with it is the pen doesn't come out far enough so it makes writing a little awkward. However, it is not supposed to be used for extensive writing. Its great for jotting notes down.

I just finished writing a review for the Manager, which I've owned for 4 years. My only suggestion for the manager was replacing the tweezers with a light. Imagine my surprise when I then stumbled across the midnight manager. THe blend of tools here is perfect. I would not sacrifice the philips/bottle opener for a light, but here you don't have to. This is small enough for everyday carrying in slacks or jeans. I literally use mine everyday. Highly recommended. Only drawback is the scissor spring breaks easily.
