In the past, these were great knives: inexpensive, comfortable to hold, and long-lasting. However, the handles have been redesigned at least twice and have become much less substantial and comfortable (shorter and more concave) with each revision. They are, however, as sharp as before, arriving sharp and staying sharp.

We have already bought this twice for ourselves (lost the first one) and bought a couple as gifts. This Victorinox is very sharp and holds its edge for a long time. My wife swears by this knife and prefers this to using the 8" chefs knife we also own, I think largely because of how light it is. Its excellent for cutting all vegetables including squishy ones like tomatoes. We also use it for meat but not real heavy duty stuff. When cutting things like big melons, its hard to use (its too small).

As I said before, this knife is a staple in our kitchen, could not recommend this enough as an everyday knife or 'first' knife.

I have several different models of the Victorinox knives and I love them all. They are extremely sharp so be careful. I have a very bad habit of holding items and cutting toward my thumb and I have cut myself several times these are like razor blades so use caution!! This paring knife is great - comfortable handle, great grip, and just the right size for small cutting/paring jobs. They keep a good edge and I have even used mine to saw through plastic tubing (not recommended but it worked for me!!). I used to purchase my paring knives in the grocery story - those 99 cent ones, and was replacing them constantly - then I came across the Victorinix brand and have been hooked ever since. Overall: great long lasting knife, keeps its edge, and a good price.

Most knives become blunt after some months. I have been toiling over a lot of them. Well not any more. I bought this knife recently and am amazed how sharp the knife is. The veggies cut like butter. The knife is a little small for my taste since I am more used to 6inch chef knife. The handle has a good grip for quick cutting. I have already cut my finger so please be careful when you use this knife. It is super sharp. Have fun cooking with this knife.

I bought one of these locally and LOVE it - slices tomatoes like butter - so I bought one for each of the other cooks in my family.

I love these knives, I have five of them now and use them all the time. Dishwasher safe and sharp and thin enough for most paring knife tasks. For the price they can't be beat.

We have never been the type to get those really nice knife block sets. Most of our knives were wedding presents that came free when you ordered from a mail-order meat company. However, we felt we needed a nice paring knife. So we did our research and thsi one was VERY affordable and got great reviews. It made a HUGE difference in food prep. Suddenly we can quickly slice all our fresh fruits and vegetables quickly and easily. I even did the sheet of paper test (you try to cut a sheet of paper with the knife) and it worked. Only issue is I was so used to using dull knives that I accidentally knicked my finger once. This knife is great. If you are like us and build your knife collection one knife at a time, this is the one you need for paring. Highly recommended.

I have given Victorinox paring knives as small presents for several years, they make great gifts. They are inexpensive, stay sharp, and they are better kinves than more expensive knives. Everyone loves them. At the price you can have several so you don't ave to wash the knife over and over again when you are cooking.

I love these knives, especially for the price. They can't be sharpened because they are serrated but they really are sharp for a long time. They are worth it!

This blade is nice, but the handle leads me to believe that it is not as good a quality or a maybe a knock-off Victorinox knife. I compared it to the other one I bought same day, different seller. They were both packaged identically in what seemed in all ways to be authentic packaging. My only concern is for the lack of "Victoinox" logo on blade itself and a slightly smaller, lighter and cheaper handle than my other one which feels much more legit. The knife still cuts better than any other cheap one that I've got.
