This review is from: Victorinox Cutlery 4.25-Inch with Fork Tip Cheese Knife, Black Polypropylene Handle (Kitchen)
I'm a fan of the Victorinox/Forschner line and have several of their products. I'm happy with the steak knives, paring knives and the 8" chef's knife has been a solid performer.
However, this knife was a let down. The edge was painfully dull and thick. It was more like a standard butter knife than a cheese knife. Even for cutting semi-soft cheeses, this knife was unimpressive. It smashed brie and camembert instead of slicing it. The only useful application for this knife would be for triple creams and very soft (cream cheese type) cheeses. |
