I purchased 6 of these knives over 14 years ago in Europe. After years of being used every single day,(they are almost the ONLY knives I use in the kitchen), and being abused by cutting bags and boxes the 2 knives left were getting a bit dull - even tho I could still cut tomatoes with them.

These are not just "steak" knives, they are "everything" knives. I was thrilled to find these wonders still available! If you buy them, I'm sure you will LOVE them! But be careful - THEY ARE SHARP!!

Bought these as a gift for my girlfriend's parents. They're not the most attractive thing out there, but they work extremely well and are very sharp (as are all Victorinox knives I've used). In fact, they are SO sharp that both of the parents cut themselves using these knives within the first week. This is only because they are used to having very dull knives and thus misuse their knives, not due to any fault of the knife or its design. Highly recommended.

My mother-in-law had Victorinex knives and after using hers, we wanted our own set. The first time my husband used one, he cut himself. In spite of that it is one of the sharpest knives I've ever used.

We've had these same knives for years. They hold up great in everyday use and survive the frequent dishwasher cycles with no deterioration at all. Unfortunately they do occasionally wind up in the garbage with casual kitchen help.
This new set brings us up to snuff ... matches the old set perfectly!
Arrived quickly in perfect shape.

I love these knives. They are super sharp. I occasionally put them in the dishwasher but mostly try to handwash to prolong the life.

Here are the downsides none of which warranted lowering the star rating. Not much heft, plastic handle feels like a plastic handle, not much to look at. The pluses: they cut great, didn't cost $275 which probably would have eliminated the minuses but I can live with that huge cost saving. If they hold up as well as a Swiss Army knife, they're a great deal.

I was looking for a set of knives for my butcher block knife set and these were the perfect size. You will never have difficulties slicing through anything with these. The plastic handles are a bit of a trade-off - they don't feel as nice as rosewood handles but you'll never have to worry about tossing them into the dishwasher. Seriously sharp and looks like they will stay that way for a long time.
