The Original Swiss Army Knife
In 1897, the Original Swiss Army Knife was created in the small village of Ibach, Switzerland. Since that time, Victorinox has become well-known in more than 100 countries for precision, quality, functionality, and versatility, and over 34,000 pocket tools with the distinctive Swiss cross leave the factory in central Switzerland each day.

The Victorinox Swiss Army knife even orbits the earth as part of the standard equipment of the Space Shuttle Crew, and the knife has been successfully proven on expeditions to the arctic ice of the North Pole, on Mount Everest, in the tropical rain forests of the Amazon, and similarly challenging environs the world over. Time and again, it has been an invaluable tool.

I use it every day; it has become essential to my job activities.
Perfect multi-tool that's still small enough to be pocket sized.

Victorinox currently makes the CyberTool 29, CyberTool 34, CyberTool 41, and CyberTool Lite. The SwissChamp XLT and XAVT are also officially part of the "CyberTool" line from Victorinox.

One of the least mentioned and discussed CyberTools is the "Lite" version which has a magnifying glass and small flashlight. Although not as popular in sales, this is a terrific version which allows you to use the flashlight while working inside a computer case and the magnifying glass could be useful for inspecting bent pins. It's a bit heavy for pocket carry, but it can be done.

The CyberTool 29 is by far the thinnest and lightest of the group, which makes it actually possible to pocket carry this tool. The four double-sided bits is what distinguishes the CyberTool models from the regular Victorinox Swiss Army Knives. (Note that the SwissChamp XAVT actually contains eight double-sided bits.) There are also additional bits which can be purchased from third party sources, such as SwissBianco.

If you need the scissors and pliers, which is quite possible when working with computers, then the CyberTool 34 will be the thinnest model to have those tools with the bits and driver. I found the CyberTool 34 still too heavy for pocket carry.

The CyberTool 41 is the same as the CyberTool 34 with the addition of a woodsaw and metal file. This tool is for most people too heavy for pocket carry, and usually carried in a belt pouch or bag.

Whichever CyberTool you choose, you will want to be careful in not losing the bits, as the replacements for those are actually fairly expensive.

The cyber lite Swiss army knife was in my christmas stocking by request. I am thrilled with it. Ever had to do some screwing in the dark? Well the cyber lite puts an end to that. It is powered by 2 watch type batteries. The Lite is powerful and focused right at the end of the screw driving tool. This knife has 4 double tiped tools, thorx, slot, allen and phillips. 3 tips are stored in the fold-out tool rack and the last one in the screw driving tool, which can also be operated at a 90 degree angle for extra torque. The pliars are pretty strong for a knife and up to some work. The magnifying glass is amazingly powerful and clear. splinters become veritable logs. I'm a plumber and find the corkscrew just the tool for disassembling o-rings and small "embedded" parts in faucets. This is not the first corkscrew to have a tiny slothead screw driver for eyeglass repair cleverly wound into its spirals for storage. Two razor sharp blades, good scissors, awl, and toothpick, tweezers and ball point pen complete the package. It's a little heavy for a pocket knife and you may want to consider a holster, because its going to wear your pocket out eventually! Be careful about inadvertently turniing the lite on when pushing the knife into your holster or pocket!

The Cybertool Lite is the best multi-use tool I've owned. I'm an engineer who loves DIY projects. This tool is used almost every day at work (electronics), home (DIY, miscellany), and outside (fishing, camping). For 2 years this knife has lived in my front pants pocket - collecting lint, scratching against coins and keys, and otherwise getting banged around. It continues to look great and function perfectly and I expect it to last a very long time.

I gave my wife a list of (3) CyberTools to select from as a Christmas gift for myself - CyberTool 41, 34, and Lite. I'm glad she chose the Lite - I actually use that little light frequently and it's smartly positioned to beam along the plane of the bit drive. One of the best gifts I've ever received. Thanks, Honey!

I've had a Cybertool 34 for nearly 13 years. It is still in decent shape after carrying every single day since I bought it. It is the most dependable indespensible tool I have ever owned, period. I finally decided to replace it since most of the attachment tools are worn. I was just going to replace the worn tools but decided to replace the entire knife. I absolutely love my new knife. Its only slightly bigger than the Cybertool 34 but I love the lite and the magnifying glass. I know from experience that this may be the last knife I ever buy, since it will probably out live me. I know I will carry this everyday and get as much or more use out of it as I did my other Cybertool. Incidentally, This is not the first or second Swiss Army knife I've owned. I had one I bought in 1978 (my first Swiss Army Knife) and still own and use that knife. I keep it in my glovebox of my car for emergency use. I wish every product I every bought was this durable and dependable.

This is the second Swiss Army knife I have purchased. My last was the same model as this one but a different color. I hope this one stands up to abuse as well as the first. During the 1st ones absence I borrowed a similar but much lower quality tool from my husband. Starting with the things I use most: the scissors are good but won't take much abuse they tend to go sideways if cutting something to heavy( but not near as wimpy as the Chinese model), wrench is good and tough, the main blade is strong enough to cut through heavy rubber without dulling, be careful with the screwdriver tips they are easy to lose and will slip out if not inserted firmly. They have 3 Phillips heads, one flat head, 3 small star shaped heads, and 1 hex. This one has a flash light and a small magnifying glass which my old one did not. The only thing I wished I had was the one that has the USB.
