3.0 out of 5 stars Well made, but airport security problem
Stitched together well, but...the metal zipper heads (three of them) lit up airport security scanners. Wearing a long sleeved shirt, I looped it over my neck and under my arm. Big Mistake! Had to take my shirt off to remove the pouch for inspection, as the pouch cord cannot be untied. So much for secrecy. Also, cannot see a way to move the springed device, used to...

Padded neck strap and special soft but strong material; to be worn against skin under shirt. You do not feel pouch and forget you are wearing it until needed at which time easy access to contents. Not visible from outside. Four thin different size "sandwiched" pouches; three zippered; one not zippered. Carried cash, passport, keys, credit cards, documents on planes, trains and just walking through streets. Essential accessory for smart travelers.

4.0 out of 5 stars Travel wisely, April 25, 2008
This neck pouch was so handy on my trip, and it really made me feel secure from pickpockets. I stored essentials like my passport, cash, I.D., and credit cards in it, and it is a good size for all of these. The velcro on the flap over the zippered pouch in front is very strong. No one could rob me even if I was asleep because the velcro is so loud when you open it! There's also a zipper on the side that opens a wallet-like pocket... perfect for cash, deep enough for a passport. The band on the neck prevents the drawstring from rubbing your skin, and the length of the string can be adjusted to just the right length. The backing is soft mesh so it won't irritate your skin and will vent moisture if you wear it under your clothes. It's also pretty rigid, so it won't sag or lose its shape even when it's full. The only feature it's lacking is a see-through pocket for your I.D. This is minor, though. Overall, a great buy.

Also, cannot see a way to move the springed device, used to shorten the cord, from the middle of the strap support, causing it to push out at the back of my shirt collar. I assume this device has a metal spring, which may have contributed to the security alert. I'm also assuming here it wasn't the magnetic stripes on credit cards stored in the pouch that caused the problem.

4.0 out of 5 stars Performed under harsh conditions, August 19, 2007
I bought this for my father, so that he could use it during a bicycling trip to Morocco and into the Sahara. He felt the need of something to store his passport and valuables in that wouldn't be lost during heavy cycling and would be resistant to pick pockets.

He told me that it performed well, didn't chafe him during desert riding, was roomy enough and worked well as a weapon when he put a rock in it and used it to bludgeon some desert raiders. He did use the neck lanyard to strangle an unruly camel before he ate it, and said that the lanyard held up well and he was able to easily wash the blood stains out afterwards at an oasis.

I bought one for myself to take on a trip to Ireland, and while I couldn't find any camels to strangle in downtown Dublin, it did keep my passport and other valuables dry during the extremely wet weather. I seldom noticed it around my neck while going through my day and considered it an essential part of my luggage.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great Product But..., April 8, 2009

Neck pouch seems to be very durable. The zippers, velcro & stiching are all high quality. Well worth the price. My only complaint is this neck pouch is rather large. Not really good for wearing underneath clothing. The Word Concealed is a little misleading unless you are going to wear it underneath a coat or a jacket. Otherwise a great product.

GOsh this is huge!! I am traveling to Hawaii with a toddler and need to be able to access my identification, etc. This is much too large to put under a shirt unless it is a big bulky t-shirt, not anything fitted. I like it b/c I can actually drop a trifold wallet in it and my cellphone. THe cord is so long that I am going to wear it across my body, that way it is easy accesible, safe and it won't hang ang swing off my neck when I am bending over tending to my toddler. It's a good buy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great travel wallet, January 25, 2010

You can read all the other reviews on how to wear it etc. and make up your own mind on this wallet. Some issues in other reviews didn't happen to me (zippers set off scanners), or others like the zippers coming down on their own also didn't seem to be a problem. It's very well built. I just returned from a month in Asia, and didn't have a problem.

Not wanting to make this a treatise on travel wallets, I'll offer the following:

One of the first things that you will have to figure out is what goes in what pocket. Remember this is generally for use while you are on overseas and requests for your credentials at airports and trains happen quickly. Here is what I ended up doing. The center pocket held my passport, and when flying -- by folding down the small end of the boarding pass it held all my boarding documents. The small front pouch held my credit cards, (remember to get a card that doesn't bill you for currency conversion), drivers license and a few other cards. In the large side zipper, I put my receipts. Many are small and are easily found in this pocket. This pocket also held my yellow International Certificates of Vaccination, from the World Health Organization (which I was never requested) as well as travelers checks and cash. I found that I had to clean out this pocket often as it got packed full quickly.

I never had any problem with heat of the item except when worn under layers of clothes. There is webbing on the back that distributes some air.

Consider darker colors as sometimes if you're wearing it around your neck, and they serve you a quick meal on a plane it could get stained.
Neck piece shortens up nicely, and long ends of the cords can be re-stuffed into and through the top of the neck piece creating a smooth contained neck cover. The neck piece is a plus as it keeps the cord from rubbing you skin.

My only issues are of my own making. In taking out my passport many times just to board a single plane, I usually left the top flap up, just a "look" issue and no threat to security. There is still a lot of pick pocketing out there and I didn't lose anything--mission accomplished.

This travel pouch came in very handy. I used it as a shoulder type bag with the pouch in the front. It was very comfortable and very compact and easy to use.
