Victorinox Swiss Army MiniChamp Pocket Knife with Special Features

I ordered the Swiss Army MiniChamp Pocket Knife with Special Features for two reasons:
1. for the fingernail file. I tend to get hangnails frequently and even tho I don't bite my nails because of stress, I tried to use my teeth as a hangnail trimmer. Very annoying to my wife.
2. just as a novelty as I am used to carrying a large pocket knife.

I love the fingernail file. even though it is small, it works wonderfully well,
I also use the tooth pick often and the scissors once in a while.
The blades are very functional and the tweezers are not that good but work in a pinch (no pun intended)
I have yet to find a use for the scraper and the cuticle pusher although my wife asks for it occasionally.
Overall I love it.

For years I carried a Classic SD knife until I lost it to security at the airport. I was looking for a replacement when I found the Classic SD bundled with the Hiker. Well, I also lost the second Classic SD at the airport (slow learner), so all I carried was the Hiker. It came in handy for outdoor activities as well as some household chores, but it was big, and I missed the scissors and nail cleaner. So I began looking for another compact Swiss Army knife with those tools. This knife has them and much more. I was especially excited about the orange peeler, because I had used a similar kitchen tool many times and used the tip of my Classic SD blade when I wasn't in the kitchen. By the way, for five bucks more you can get the MiniChamp II that has all these tools PLUS a pen and a bottle opener/phillips screwdriver/wire stripper tool!

They do not make the model I used to have and lost, but this is a great knife.
This one has two extra blades that I will probably never use, but is still compact enough for a pocket knife.
Just wish they made it in the tanslucent plastic cover.

This little Victorinox MiniChamp will easily fit into a pocket or purse. The variety of blades and tools on this fabulous little knife will do just about anything you might need. For example, the tweezers are better than any I've had at any price. There are better knives for camping or heavy work, but the MiniChamp is the best small pocket knife in the world! Be careful not to confuse this perfect little knife with the MiniChamp II. Victorinox replaced the very handy toothpick available in the MiniChamp and substituted a really-not-so-handy, tiny little pen in the MiniChamp II. Get the original MiniChamp -- you'll be glad you did.

I carried one of these for over 15 years and it was still in great shape the day I lost it. I looked at the multitude of choices and couldn't find another with the specific blades I wanted at anywhere near this size.
BTW, this is the original MiniChamp not the new MiniChamp II, which is a wider knife. I think the original has been discontinued but you can still find them online. It is the perfect tool for me, and I'm glad to have one back in my pocket where it belongs.

I bought this for my wife so she could have the functionality of a dozen other things being carried in her purse without the weight. I know there are women out there right now saying "What? Are you nuts?" but hear me out. She uses the scissors for hang nails. She uses the file for, well, a file. She uses the knife to open letters and boxes. There is a cuticle thing to push/scrape them into oblivion. She also uses the nail cleaning tool when waiting in line or any other place where there is time to attack the nails. The only bad thing she has told me about is that she lost the toothpick after about a month.

I've kept this knife on my keychain for nearly 10 years. Only problem is that every now and then I lose it (largely thanks to the TSA). I ordered these from Amazon as a pre-emptive replacement since they're getting really hard to find.

One of the biggest perks of this is that it does NOT have the flashlight (which will make your pocket glow randomly), NOR does it have that annoying pen to snag on your pockets.

A great knife that I can heartily recommend to anyone who wants a small knife around at all times.

Great because there's always a million "little itty-bitty" needs for a knife, scissors, or screwdrivers at the wrong time. Having this thing is fantastic. This one especially is SLIGHTLY larger than your typical keychain pocketknife. However, with the small increase in size, swiss manages to fit in an extra knife, extra nail thing (cutical pusher), and picker (I don't know what it's exactly for, but i've used it for cutting ropes,shoelaces, duck tape, and just "cutting things by the act of pulling".

Fast delivery as well. I recommend.

This is a good quality knife! But can anybody tell me how to use the orange peeler :)

This is a very practical mini tool. I used a lot and it was always in my pocket. I used to have one of this but I lost it and I missed it a lot, so I bought this from Amazon and now I'm very happy again.
