This watch is a fantastic example of the fine craftsmanship inherent in Swiss watchmaking. Here's why:

I received this watch as a present in 2006, and it has been through hell ever since. I have worn it in the snow, on hikes, during fights, mountain biking, ocean swimming, mud running, and even the occasional drunken stumble. I even wore this watch swimming in the high salinity of the dead sea. I am confident that, in my possession, this watch has scrapped every imaginable surface and has come into contact with virtually everything any person will encounter on a daily basis including doors, walls, sharp corners, mirrors, concrete, dogs, tools, belt buckles, tile floors, car doors, heavy books, weights, keys, silverware, glasses, branches, rocks, sand, shower stalls, rings, knives, mechanical parts, greasy food, soft drinks, loose change, barbecue grills, bricks, motor oil, sinks, toilet bowls, and hot coffee.

It has acquired a very distinct character and has been decorated by a beautiful collection of scratches and scrapes. I even managed to shatter off a half - millimeter sized chunk of the sapphire crystal near the 6 o'clock position as a result of smashing the watch on the side of some granite stairs, although the crystal is otherwise completely unscathed. In spite of all of these attacks on its integrity, the watch runs perfectly to this day. It has retained all of its water resistance (100 m) and is still presentable enough to wear to court or with any formal attire. The dark blue dial is mesmeric and the Arabic numerals catch the light perfectly. The illuminated hands and markers glow brightly and retain their luminosity well into the night.
