This knife will open with either hand, but will close only with the left hand or two hands. In the left hand, you can push the blade lock out of the way and close the knife. In the right hand, you would have to pull it, so you need the other hand. Not a big deal -- it's not like they advertise "one-handed close" or anything -- but it's something I can do with every other knife I own that has this kind of blade lock. Odd design choice. Like I said, "lefties rejoice"!

Fit and finish are good, but not stellar. The main blade is pretty darned big for a pocket knife. The corkscrew is only for emergencies; no leverage!

This is a well made knife. Why Victorinox deleted the toothpick and tweezers from this model knife is a mystery to me.
The no slip grip is very nice and fits well in the hand. The red color tone against the black trim is a well thought out.
The single handed blade opening design is for me just this side of dangerous. There is too great a potential for cutting your thumb with this one handed opening function.
I will keep this knife in my modest knife collection.
My everyday carry knife has been for years and always will be the Swiss Army Picnicker. I have four spare Victorinox Picnicker's stored away just in case VictorInox quits making that model..

I have a Dual Pro One Hand and complained about the protrusion on the seat belt cutter that presses on the inside of the fingers while using the main blade. My gripes were answered and Nomad one hand looses the seat blet cutter and that protrusion. Guess what, it is thinner so, if you have larger hands, it is actually noticeably less convenient to open it with one hand (your hand has to really bend into a fist) an you have less firm grip when using it. I guess, it is hard to have it all. However, if your hand is of average size, this knife can just be the ticket.

Quality is good, there is no free play anywhere, but for some reason it feels a bit less solid than Dual Pro One Hand. Opening is a tiny bit less smooth but everything really works. All in all, if these are the tools you want, I would recommend it. If these are the tools you want but you are tall man with larger hands, get the Forester One Hand. It will add the saw and some grip.

Everything I need in a utlity knife: 3/4 serrated locking blade (with slowish one-hand opening) which cuts like crazy, locking screwdriver, and a comfy grip. The small screwdriver and corkscrew get a little use too.

Clearly designed for lefties, and I'm not one. :( Otherwise a pretty well made knife, is as described other than the handedness issue.
