4.0 out of 5 stars Good Watch
I purchased this watch a year and a half ago and it has been solid. No problems and the titanium case is very light compared to the same watch in stainless. I wear it everyday, it is a watch you can wear with jeans or a suit. I would purchase this watch again.

Mine was only one month old when I noticed a ring of fog on the inside of the watch face. Victorinox wants $10 for shipping and handling when sent in on warranty. I bought a Wenger instead, and am happy with it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Exactly what I expected, December 12, 2010

I've been using this watch now for 4 to 5 months and I love it. What a great watch for a great price. I constantly bump the face and it never scratches. I was even able to take it to Macy's to resize the band.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Great Watch, December 4, 2011
This review is from: Victorinox Swiss Army Men's 24080 Alliance Titanium Chronograph Watch (Watch)
This is a great watch. I looked and reviewed at least 20 other watches before settling on this one. It looks elegant but also works for everyday. I have received numerous compliments.

I went through many, many watches but didn't like the leather bands or the watches were just too heavy or scratched easily. I'm rather hard on my watches but the crystal on this Victorinox looks like the day I bought it. The case will scratch and I haven't tried to polish the small scratches out of the titanium but I will gladly trade that for the weight. This watch is so light!

My only issue is that occasionally the chronograph buttons will get inadvertently pressed (like when I have to cram it in my briefcase to get through the TSA security) and I glance at it and notice that the chrono dials are spinning. Think the chronos are probably tough on battery life although I'm still on the first battery at 25 months.

The best feature (which I don't think was too well documented in the instruction pamphlet) is that you can just barely pull the crown out to the first stop and then change only the hour without stopping the watch. This allows me to change timezones while traveling without affecting the time. I set my watch from an Oregon Scientific clock tied to the US atomic clock source. Awesome feature!

5.0 out of 5 stars Victorinox owns Wenger, March 8, 2010

I do not own this particular watch but I do own several other Victorinox Swiss Army Products including another model of the Alliance line and have not had any problems with them. As far as sticking it to the man about 10 dollars shipping for a watch warranty all I can say is you go man. But while I believe Wenger Swiss Military was a lower cost option originally. The Wenger company is now part of and controlled by Victorinox. So I am sure they say thank you twice. I am not trying to be rude but I know there previously were two camps of followers one touted the value of Wenger and the other the superiority of quality of Victorinox. But ultimately now there really will not be any difference as the same people with the same vision are producing both brands of watches.
