The Victorinox Swiss Army Men's Ambassador XL Chrono Watch pairs traditional style with luxurious detail for the discerning man of style. Featuring a stainless steel case, it also has a distinctive exhibition-style, transparent case back so you can see all of the inner mechanics. The oversized, luminescent white dial with silver-toned hands and Arabic numeral indexes also displays full chrono functionality and calendar yet still appears clean and minimal. As an added sophisticated detail, the watchband is made from black calfskin leather with contrast stitching on the edges and has a traditional buckle clasp. As you would expect from a high-quality timepiece, the crystal is made from anti-reflective sapphire for ultimate protection from daily wear and tear. The Victorinox Swiss Army Men's Alpnach Mechanical Chrono Watch is powered by Swiss-made self-winding mechanical movement with a 46-hour power reserve and is water resistant to 330 feet (100 meters).
The Victorinox Swiss Army Story
In 1884, Karl Elsener opened a cutlery workshop in Ibach-Schwyz, Switzerland with the support of his mother Victoria. Just like that, Victorinox Swiss Army was born.
In 1891, Elsener and his coworkers deliver knives for soldiers in the Swiss Army for the first time. Six years later, the company legally protected the names Swiss "Officer's" and "Sport Knife." The model later became known as the Original Swiss Army Knife.
Following Elsener's mother's death in 1909, the company incorporated her name into the brand and unveiled its well-known cross and shield emblem. Elsener arrived at the name Victorinox by combining the name Victoria with "inox," an abbreviation of the French word for rust-resistant steel, "inoxydable."
In 1989, Victorinox officially entered the timepiece business in the United States under the brand name Swiss Army. In 1999, Victorinox partners with the American TRG Group in St. Louis and enters into the international travel gear market. In 2001, the company launched a fashion line in the U.S. with a collection that delivers technical and tailored styling capturing the brand’s essence of practical luxury. If that wasn't enough, in 2007 Victorinox sets up Victorinox Swiss Army Fragrance AG, and in 2009 Victorinox Swiss Unlimited was launched.

Very attractive, clean, professional but beautifully detailed face, clear, easy to read hands, functional and easy to use chronometer works just as you expect it to. Nice XL size fits a moderate to larger wrist (a normal man's wrist). Good quality leather strap and straightforward buckle. Exhibition caseback reveals nicely detailed and finished inner workings of the watch and the self-winding rotor mechanism. No really fancy detailing, but nicely displayed micromechanics and functional beauty to satisfy any man. Power reserve is about 30-40 hours, so you either need to wear the watch or re-set it when you put it back on after a while, or get a winder. The watch is easy to set. The calendar can be fast-forwarded if you have left the watch sit for a few days or a couple of weeks. Saves a lot of time on re-setting and re-starting. A lot of watch for the money.

This is a beautiful dress watch, that I recommended to every one. It was exactly what I was expecting when I opened the package.It has a very easy face to read, great luminescence and the automatic runs smoothly as all eta moment does. I'm a watch collector, between my collection I have Omegas, Reymond Weil, and others Swiss made watches, but this one has absolutely nothing to envy to any super expensive prestige Swiss brand that charge a hell out of their watches. Do yourself a favor and get a Victorinox.

I'm Japanese and bought this watch few days ago. I just love it. But I have suspicion , watch I got is genuine article . Because the dial my watch doesn't have Victorinox logo, but only Swiss army. I can find victorinox logo in picture showed this page. And the box is very very cheap one. But precision of time is very good. Please let me know does your watch have Victorinox logo on the dial?
