Great value, August 19, 2010
This review is from: Victorinox Swiss Army Men's 241355 Dive Master Black Dial Watch (Watch)
The Victorinox 241355 is a great looking mans watch with an upmarket elaborated ETA 2892-A2 movement as found in the most expensive high end brands.(Said by some horologists to rival the in house Rolex movements) Its a little heavy if you are used to quartz watches, and quite thick at 14mm. I therefore recommend the rubber strap. Though not COSC certified, its accuracy falls within chronometer specs i.e. -4 +6 secs daily. Not bad for a watch costing just over $US 600. See thru back and 500 m waterproof with a screw crown. Unsurpassed value.

Very pleased, November 19, 2010
This review is from: Victorinox Swiss Army Men's 241355 Dive Master Black Dial Watch (Watch)
I purchased this to replace my Seiko Divemaster that I bought here two years ago. (That Seiko stopped working after a short fall onto the ground. I should note, this was not the Japanese movement Divemaster, but the cheaper Malaysian one. My original Japanese one was stolen; it was not until I had in my hands the new Seiko did I realise it was a cheaper movement - and much poorer quality. Amazon did not at the time (nor does it still ) make it clear on the page that this is the case...)
Anyway, this is a more expensive watch, but well worth it. The build is solid, the face a good size, in two days of use it has not lost or gained a second (most watches will gain or lose 2-4 secs/ day). I was unsure about buying sight-unseen as I have been bitten before, but I am in no way disappointed. Three year warranty also is good.

My Thirty-Something Watch...., April 11, 2011
This review is from: Victorinox Swiss Army Men's 241355 Dive Master Black Dial Watch (Watch)
A great looking, well equipped watch for the price!
I've been wearing a Tissot Seastar 660 for 9 years that I bought right out of college. It was my first real swiss watch (be it quartz), at the $500 level. It has run problem free the whole time, and only on it's second battery. But it has seen better days looks wise, and I had always planned to upgrade to an automatic model by my 30's.
Well I'm in my 30's now and unfortunately Tissot has discontinued thier Seastar line, so I could not upgrade to the 1000.
SO the hunt began for a Swiss mechanical dive watch in the $1000 range.
Atleast 30ATM/300Meter/1000ft Water Resistance.
ETA 2824-2 or better movement (This has a 2892.A2, which is considered more "upscale", but I believe it is just more modern/thinner)
And a Rubber Band, I hate metal/link bands.
Anyway, once I found and saw this model I was done looking.
And the fact that Amazon had it for 40% less then retail, I was sold.
