I love the watch. Unfortunately, though, it worked for a couple of months and then stopped. One would think that being a genuine Victorinox watch there would be no hassle in getting this sorted. Guess again! Victorinox don't honour any warranty for anything sold through a non-authorised reseller like Amazon.

Apparently this is in an effort to stop places like Amazon selling them cheap. Personally I think if Victorinox doesn't want Amazon to sell their stuff then they should do what it takes to prevent this rather than have the customer suffer. This leads me to the Amazon 'warranty' - Amazon apparently provide a warranty but, despite me contacting them, they don't feel inclined to reply in order to honour this warranty. The online forms are of course also all geared up for hte US, with no consideration for international buyers. Basically, you have to give a fake address with a legitiate US post/zip code in order to even be able to submit an enquiry - not that you can expect a response.

Even if I did get a response I would only have to ship the item internationally (I'm in Australia) back to the US. With the cost and time involved it's less headache to accept the dilemma and pay for the repair here by the authorised Victorinox repairer. This situation, though, has very strongly made me question whether I ever buy anything through Amazon again.

So, for purposes of review - great watch but do ***NOT*** buy from Amazon. In my opinion it is worth paying more to get it from an authorised dealer who allows the manufacturers warranty to be upheld. I guess I was just unfortunate with it stopping but these things happen. If you're also unlucky then you'll be happy you purchased elsewhere.

I like watches from this brand and I needed one from Infantry Vintage Line. I'm very satisfied with the product I bought. I plan buying others in the future.

I bought my watch in January, I am very happy with it, I only complain about the price if I waited my savings would be nearly $50

Pd I agree with the clarification of the mechanism is automatic.

This watch is incorrectly described as having a swiss quartz movement. It has a swiss automatic movement with I think 23 jewels. Please correct the product information.
