This is my second swiss army chronograph. I received one as a gift ten years ago and wore it every day since. I never had a problem with my old Swiss Army, but was ready for a change.

The maverick has a nice weight, it is very comfortable, and generally offers a great combination of quality price and value. Its classic look makes it the kind of watch that you can wear anywhere, and it is durable, so you don't have to worry about it getting scratched or banged up. I have had no problems so far, and find the alarm feature very handy.

The one thing I will say is that this is a BIG watch. I was a little surprised by how big it was when I tried it on. Until I was used to it, I thought it might be a little too flashy for a mid-priced watch. Once I got it fitted and got comfortable with it, that was not as much of a concern. Even so, it is probably really only suited for someone with a big frame - and would probably not look right on smaller guys.

I got this watch and I am very happy with it!! It is scratch-proof!!!! only a diamond can scratch-it!!!!! Take care of the bracelet...it is easy-to-scratch because is made of stainless steel. I recommend you wash it every week because it stores dirt and grease on the back!!! Nice product!!!!! It has the same features of a more expensive watch as Omega, TagHeuer...at a very nice price!....one more thing...it has an alarm that is not noise, so it will not wake you up in the morning.

I own five Victorinox/Swiss Army Watches so I'm a fan of the brand. I finally bought a Maverick II and am not disappointed. This is also my first foray into a larger case diameter and again I'm not disappointed. This is a beautiful watch and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

The band of this watch failed in less than a week of lightweight use. I contacted Victorinox and was told that the band was not covered by the warranty. I expected higher quality of manufacture, and for the product to be fully backed up by the warranty.

I purchased this watch for my husband for Christmas and I must say that we are both very pleased. The price can't be beat for such a beautiful watch. It does have a large face, but my husband is not a large man and it still looks good on him. Feels very solid and not cheap!

I finally made a move from rubber banded watches after 25+ yrs. (timex, nike) Plus I tried going without a watch for the last 3-4 months since I have a cell (blackberry) constantly on-hand. But I finally decided I like a real watch and wanted something nicer this time. Going to a metal band was for me a big move too. But after getting two links taken out, it fits fine. I also wanted a larger face and this one fit the bill. It is pricier than I expected to pay but I had been looking for a while and came back to this one more than a few times.

Setting the date took more effort than anticipated but once I figured it out, no problem.
