A durable, simple and elegant time piece. Totally satisfactory and highly functional. Recommend to all but the expensive for expensive sake watch buyer.

--UPDATE-- IMPORTANT!
This is an update to the original review below. A year has passed and I had to replace the battery. I am surprised that it only lasted one year. I took it to the original jeweler that sold me the watch. When they returned it, I noticed that the caseback wasn't tight and flush against the rest of the watch. They said it was fine, I wasn't convinced. I took it to another jeweler and they explained that the case was made in China and sometimes the cases will warp. WHAT!? Over 300 bucks and the made-in-China case doesn't screw down all the way. Now the watch probably isn't waterproof at all. Very disappointed, although it's my fault I bought an overpriced quartz watch from Victorinox.

--Original Review--
This watch took me by surprise: I was originally looking for something with a black face, black (or steel) band, and preferably without numerals. How did I end up with this watch?

First off, this watch has just the right balance of form and function. The glossy, embossed Arabic numerals strike a nice contrast with the faceplate and remind me of the design of a classic railroad chronometer. The bezel is nicely polished that looks great at an angle. Where some watches skimp on the band, this leather band is 1/8" inch thick and very comfortable. Victorinox may be known for its knives, but they apparently make quality timepieces- this watch is Swiss Made (the lettering is, in fact, printed at the bottom of the faceplate).

Accuracy is very good, as can be expected of a quartz watch. After a month, I've had no problems. (BTW I bought this watch from a local jewelry store)

The polished steel is prone to scratches and the leather band will need replacing after some time, but it's not $1500 either. Someday when I get my Tag Heuer automatic, I'll be more careful with it!

The Swiss Army men's wristwatch, called the Men's Infantry Watch, Victorinox model no. 24654, is of good quality. This model has a polished stainless steel case. The dial can be read in the dark, as the luminous hands are clearly legible then. The face is easy to read, day or night. The dial is marked not only with 12-hour but also with 24-hour numbering. The calendar date feature works well. The main features of the watch are clearly shown in the photo found in the listing. The leather strap is dark brown and of sturdy thickness. This watch matches its description on the Amazon site. It should stand up well in heavy regular use. I am pleased with it.
