I've owned this watch now for several years.
I'm very rough on watches, I usually end up with scratched or broken crystals. Not so with this watch.
The crystal is protected by the metal trim. And the crystal is flat so it isn't prone to scraping against surfaces. I have a couple of small scars on the trim but the crystal is totally unscathed.
Oh yea, it's accurate to the second.

Great watch especially for casual wear. My only complaint is the band is too big for my wrist. Most watch manufacturers must use NFL linemen to size their bands....OK, I have skinny wrists but they're not that small!

I have an atomic clock, and this watch is keeping time with it perfectly to the second.

I agree the strap won't work for anybody with a wrist smaller than about 6 3/4", but this is the men's style. My hands are a woman's large or XL, so this larger watch face looks better.

The black background is quite attractive. The luminous hour dots and hands are clearly visible in the dark.

The watch is lightweight, which is a major factor to me.

Considering how much I bash my hand around, the crystal and material around the face and the strap still look new.

I like the simplicity. There's a little day of the month setting, but none of those annoying dials, arrows, and other junk that clutter watches. The date turns over to 31, so it needs to be reset for 30-day months. No big. Pull the little dial thing out one click instead of two and turn.

Brand new and defective!! Beautiful watch, but the battery is dead on arrival. And I am so disappointed on how cheap that band is! Doesn't fit well at all and looks cheesy. For $112 I expected better. I am returning it immediately.

I have owned my watch for about 7 years. It has survived 5 years in the army and only replaced the battery once. It does look nice to wear and its not trashy like some of the timex watches. I paid $40 for this watch new though long ago at Sams club and I doubt they sell them anymore.
I Would say this watch is worth the price and it still looks brand new.

This watch won't help you if you're racing a car, diving, or if you need to quickly know what the time in Bankok is at the same time you check the time in your zone. However: If you want the time and date nothing more, this watch will serve you well. This is my third Swiss Army watch, and it replaces one I'd had since the late 1990s, which went through several bands and batteries before it breathed its last.

I'm hoping for the same with this model, similar to the one I had, and my expectations are high. It's lightweight, and it has a good sized knob, making it easy to grasp to reset the time (you probably won't have to do THAT very often) and the date at the ends of months with fewer than 31 days in them. The date window is easy to read, and the silver-grey numbers are large, easy to see against the black background, and there are small numbers inside the conventional ones that give you 24-hour military time if you need it.

The band, as one reviewer notes, is designed for NFL linemen. However, the nylon mesh on either side of the conventional part that contains the holes will hold the watch in place on your wrist for you--until you get around to replacing the band. To give you some idea of how poorly designed the band is, I would estimate that right now (and I'm wearing the watch as I keyboard in this review), the pin on the clasp is inserted in the mesh, at least an inch inside the last hole that comes with the band.

Unfortunately, this prevents me from giving the watch the five stars it really would otherwise deserve.

this was a 5 star watch for the first year i had it but a few months ago one of the arms bent so that it cant move anymore. also the band was huge, i had to cut my own hole in it

I received this watch as a gift from my wife one year at Christmas which cost her quite a chunk of change, and I love this watch. As other reviewers have stated, this watch is understated yet very elegant in its own way. I have been in love this watch for the last few years, and yet it is very resilient and has shown no visible signs of wear, yet. The watch band, however, may need to be replaced in a few years. The question with any retail watch offered retail is...will it last? I can tell you that IS a watch worth its investment, and will last you for at least a decade.

Good watch, I am wearing it daily since I bought approximately a month back. Only drawback is that the strap is big, might need to make another hole later.
