I was given this knife 16 years ago by my mother for Christmas.Since then I have used this knife for everything. Every tool has been used as their intended application as well as anything else that can be imagined. I have carried it around in my pocket and some people ask how I can carry something like this around, its so big. But the all the times it has saved my butt far exceeds any flaw anyone can imagine. I love this knife. If this knife ever reaches the end of its life I will no doubt buy the same one again. I have a 3 year old son and can not wait till I can buy this for him. I will highly recommend this to anyone whether they think they need it or not. Once you have it you will find you need it.

I own several Swiss army knives, and this one is by far my favorite. It has almost every tool that Victorinox makes, yet is very pocket friendly. It it still usable even though it is so big. I love the fish scaler, I know most hate it, but it is very useful as a probe for getting into small, recessed places. If you use your imagination, this Multi tool has unlimited potential. I like it far more than my Leatherman, because each tool actually does the job it was made for plus a myriad of other uses. It is very wide, but not too wide. I use mine many times a day. Great buy, get one ASAP, and you won't regret it!

I'm very impressed with the high quality precision ground and polished tools in this knife. This is a very good general purpose Swiss army knife with everything you might need with the exception of a kitchen sink.

I really love this knife. I endorse this product completely. Having the phillips in line with bodyy of the knife adds to the driver's usability. The little pen has come in very handy when I needed to write something down and a regular pen was unavailable. I collect swiss army knives, so the champ was a must have. This a well built tool that can be used hard. I have always been impressed with it's ability to fight off rust. The champ does not require a lot of maintanence. There are implements on this knife I will probably never use. The only reason I do not carry my champ 24/7 is I have been unable to find a comfortable way of carrying it. It is a great conversation starter. The fit and finish of these knives is excellent. All the tools have good snap.

All i can say is this knife is all you need !

from the pictures on this website it is impossible to estimate the exact size of the swiss champ. now, it is not exactly collosal, but it feels kind of like your pants will be dragged down any second. of course this is easily solved by putting it in your jacket pocket. i think a lot of weight could have been taken of if this knife did not have so many superfluous functions. i have never used the corkscrew, or most of the screwdrivers, just one phillips and one regular. the ballpoint pen is almost completey useless, being so impossible to get a good grip on. the knives are extremely sharp, but i think only one is neccesary. about the wire stripper, you have cut a small slit in the wire sideways before usig it. the slit should catch onto the edge of the tool. on the quality: superb as superb can be. you cannot get a better made knife, they simply do not exist. only problem is that the magnifying glass is plastic, wich will eventually get scratched, probably. the hook thing is not able to carry more than one bag, and you have to wrap the handles around it. waste of three milimeters in my opinion. the most useful tools are the toothpick, scissors and pliers. the thing that is supposed to have a metal file on one side and a nail file on the other has two files wich are exactly the same. both work well for both jobs. the plastic handles do get scratched up so be careful

There is no hype behind the Swiss Champ. It delivers everytime I need it. I would hate to be without it!

It is OK. but the packaging is a little sloppy. Is it really made in Europe?
