Victorinox Swiss Army Recruit Knife and Mini-Mag Flashlight Set

I bought this for my girlfriend for her birthday. The size of both the knife and the flashlight were ideal. The knife fits in her handbag without being too bulky and the light can slide into her car's sun visor for easy access.

For portability, the initial instinct may be to purchase one of the small single-cell lights that attach to your keychain but consider this -- how do you use a flashlight on your keychain while the key is in the ignition?

One minor, unmentioned feature of the knife that I believe is worth mentioning is its matted finish. Unlike the regular polished surface, the matte is less likely to scratch or display fingerprint marks and smudges.

All in all, an excellent gift, and very attractively packaged. One final note though, guys, because of its shape, your girl may think the case holds jewelry. Be forewarned.

Had I known this was SUCH A NICE SET I would have ordered more to begin with and given them out as Christmas gifts! The knife is all the quality you would expect from a swiss army knife, and comes with the a high quality mag light and batteries are included! The whole thing comes in a nice Swiss Army tin perfect for gift giving. What a steal!

This flashlight/pocketknife combo set is a handsome gift. I bought six to give to the men in my family for Christmas, and everyone seemed pleased. Both items are small, but very well made--good value for less than $10, especially since the set comes with batteries. The only caveat that I see: the conventional flashlight, rather than the newfangled LED bulbs that are now available. Set would deserve 5 stars if the LED flashlight was available, but it would also be more expensive. Overall, I am pleased and would buy it again.

Very happy with the quality of both the flashlight and the knife. The tin gift box is a nice added touch. Was a big hit as an inexpensive but useful Christmas gift.

I bought this for a Yankee swap, and ended up taking it home. Lucky me! It's perfect to keep in the side pocket of my car, with extra batteries tucked inside the metal case.

These were a big hit at Christmas. Maybe do it again next year?

These are not exactly what I was looking for but they came very close to what I was looking for and they are very good, too! Great value and a great set to have! :)

This set consisting of one of the smaller Swiss Army knives and a pocket-sized mag light makes a great guy gift. Victorinox is known for quality and this set does not disappoint.
