I had been looking for this exact knife literally for years since first having identical promotional "free-b's" which became lost. (Ya gotta luv Amazon.com)
Definately great for pants pockets since it's only about 3/16" in thickness. Stainless steel blades eliminate corrosion problems. Highest recommendation.

Incredibly Slim, But Feels Flimsy,

This review is from: Victorinox Swiss Army Secretary Pocket Knife (Silver Alox) (Sports)
If you want the slimmest possible full-size (or nearly full-size, the blade is slightly smaller than I expected) Swiss Army Knife, the "Secretary" is the model for you. Unfortunately, it felt too fragile and slippery for me, so I went with the thicker "Solo" model. Either knife is an excellent solution if you want a single, useful blade that's neither heavy nor inconvenient to lug around; but if your primary concern is the thickness of the knife, go with the "Secretary." If you intent to put a lot of wear and tear on the knife, I would recommend the "Solo" (which has a slightly larger main blade and no secondary blade - despite being noticeably thicker).

Interesting Product Differences,
By Ricardo (New York City) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Victorinox Swiss Army Secretary Pocket Knife (Silver Alox) (Sports)
I have had the red plastic-handled version of this knife for a while now and actually had to return the first one due to poor finishing by the factory. The replacement was better, but not as good as I had hoped for.Yesterday I received the Silver Alox version and the difference in finishing is like night and day. This is how I remember the quality of Victorinox to be. My only concern is the logo which seems to be "painted" on. I'll be surprised if it doesn't wear off eventually. A nice surprise, which I don't see mentioned in the product description, is that it came with a vinyl pouch. If nothing else, the pouch will protect the logo from wearing off. A nice touch for an inexpensive knife. As always, SAK blades are exceptionally sharp. I have no idea what type of stainless Victorinox uses, but it's easy to sharpen and holds its edge fairly well. If I was to guess, I'd guess 440 or possibly one of the Krupps alloys. In any case, it really doesn't matter. A few folks have mentioned it feeling flimsy. I don't think I'd use that word but it is very light. Unless someone were to really abuse this knife, I don't think that it would disappoint them. It's not meant to be more than a light-duty pocket knife and that's just what it is.
