There are a lot of advantages to this little gizmo. First, as far as I know, it's the only memory stick that you can use to open your mail and clip your nails, among many other functions.

The second BIG advantage is that there is NO CAP TO LOSE! The thing folds neatly into itself.

The third HUGE advantage is that the memory unit is not encased in some designy-shaped plastic shell that causes problems when you stick it into some computers. It's just a thin, no-nonsense, straight stick that goes right into the slot.

However, the BIGGEST advantage, as accidentally discovered in my own personal consumer test lab here at home, is that it works perfectly even after going through the laundry!

This is a terrific gift for anyone who needs portable memory, and it will make a great gift anytime. Don't wait for the holidays!

This is a great knife and the usb drive is very easy to use. Great for transferring files. The light and pen come in very handy as well. Swiss army customer service is excellent in my experience.

A couple of the reviewers mentioned that you cannot carry-on this item with you on planes, and yes, this is true of any "knife" post 9/11. However, you can put this device (and any other pocket knife for that matter) into CHECKED luggage. I've taken this item with me inside my checked luggage through many airports without problem.

OK so it is more expensive than other drives and will get you in trouble if you try to fly with it.
I dropped my drive in the street outside my home and did not find it until a week later (in New England, in February). It had obviously been run over a few times, as the red plastic cover had broken off, and the rain had taken its toll on the metal shell, which was a little rusty.
But it worked! I got my data back!

I went swimming this morning and forgot to take this knife out of my pocket. I swam for a good 30 minutes with the knife completely submerged in salt water. I assumed it was ruined.

I can't believe it, but after drying out for a few hours--not only does the light still work, but so does the usb memory--I didn't lose anything on there.

Incredible, incredible, incredible. Victorinox has made a believer out of me.

I've had this little guy for over a year now and I love it. I love having these useful items handy at all times. The drive detaches so if you need that part on the plane you can just stick it in your pocket. The only thing I would do different is get a larger drive but the 128MB is good for most things.

Got this for my husband and now, I want one, too. Great assortment of useful tools -- knife, scissors, pen, light, USB flash memory, etc, in a neat little package that is easy to access. Everything works great and it is a real "attention getter".

Bought this for my dad for Christmas. He has a need to get various physics publications at libraries. However... He ALWAYS forgets his flash drive. He was very pleased when I gave this to him for Christmas. I am actually kind of jealous. I might have to buy one for myself considering I inherited the forgetting the flash drive gene.

Bottom Line: Great product, buy it if you are always forgetting your USB Stick!

I saw this on another web sight and it was well out of my price range so I am glad I found it here. I am working on a novel and this little guy is perfect for my everyday use. I love that its so well constructed and compact. I keep it on my keyring so I'm never without it. It has a feature that lets you secure your data with a password, and I love that. I think I have used the knife and scissors at least once a day since I bought it. It's fantastic!

Not only did the Swiss Memory storage device arrive quickly, it was just what I needed. I had purchased one for my husband two years ago and decided to treat myself to one as well. Besides the tools included, the USB flash drive is being utilized completely.
