Victorinox quality, Victorinox style, January 31, 2010

I travel a lot in my work, and I own a lot of different luggage, and mine gets a good workout! I purchased this bag, in Emerald, to fill a specific need. I wanted a carryon that had a fold-out clothing compartment, and this bag has one. As I own another piece of Victorinox luggage, I expected high quality, and I wasn't disappointed.
Victorinox trumpets their patented handle, with its curvature and its rotating handle, and I must say it is quite comfortable when hauling across airports. There could be a drawback for some, though: if one wants to attach another bag over the typical double handle, this bag only has one. There is an attachment strap to get around that limitation, though. I actually have an accessory rotating handle I use on another bag to emulate this one. The wheels/axle/zippers/fabric are typical Victorinox quality, and mine have shown no damage at all. Of course, I don't have to check this bag.
I have owned other carryons that don't optimize their available interior space due to styling; this bag is quite square so every square inch inside can be used. I pack with cubes so the holding straps on the interior keep everything in order.
I don't buy luggage based on styling, but this is quite attractive in appearance. My emerald color is not a bright green but it is certainly easily picked out on planes compared with all those black ones!
This is luggage made to hold up to frequent users like me. We have found that buying cheap bags will cost more in the end. This bag is made for the long haul.

Great bag and great customer service, October 1, 2010

I bought a Victorinox Werks expandable wheeled travel bag in April of 2008, I think I paid about $250.00. As I travel a lot I rely heavily on my travel bag and this one had been on well over 200 flights in 2.5 years. During my normal use the bag developed two small holes in the bottom corners exposing the wire frame, additionally, through my own carelessness the handle broke.
On September 21, 2010 I took a shot and called their customer service not expecting much but hoping for something. All I can say is I wish more companies responded the way Victorinox did with me, it was a great experience and extremely friendly, they didn't hesitate in giving me an RA #. Well I shipped my bag that day and a week later I received a brand new bag, they even sent me the current model the Werks 3.0 22".
I can tell you I will continue to buy their product as well as recommend it to my friends.

Keep rolling, November 15, 2010
I was looking for a replacement carry on for my weekly business trips. The Victorinox Werks Traveler 3.0 in the 22" size fits that build and I can get a weeks plus worth of clothes in it easily. Clothes come out looking good and no need for an iron. I have had to checked the bag several times with the airlines and it still looks brand new.
