After painting my son's room two colors (light blue/dark blue), I was looking for a border and found this! I read all of the reviews and I must admist that I had some trepidation in buying this product. I decided to go ahead and buy it anyway (there are no other Car's options in borders). I brought it home and opened the packages and noticed that the border still conformed to the rolled-up shaped that it came in. I decided to hang the border in a closet for 2 days to see if it would "relax" and straighten out. Boy am I sure glade I did! Most of the length did straighten out substantially, however the ends still held the curled state more than I would have liked. Application to the wall was fairly easy and I did have to smooth out the border a number of times as the edges did separate from the wall slightly.

I went back into the room the next morning and noticed that the ends had come off of the wall about 12 inches (where it did not relax very well), however the rest still was secured to the wall. After re-attaching the ends and smoothing out a couple of times over the next day or two, it is well secured.

This is by no means a perfect product, however, there's a little hint to help with some of the frustration in applying this border.

This product is horrible. I followed the instructions carefully and had freshly painted, clean, dry walls. The product didn't stick for more than 5 minutes. It's difficult to put on and it doesn't work. I am very disappointed since I picked paint colors for my son's room based on this border and now it doesn't work so I need to buy another one which will not match.

So, I had some trepidation after reading how absolutely AWFUL this product is, but my son's room only required 2 rolls and I decided to take the risk. First of all, like another reviewer I hung my strips 2 days before I applied them. They straightened out quite nicely and I do believe this helped. The border was very easy to put up. My husband held the slack while I secured the border to the wall. I intermittently stuck thumb tacks into the border and pressed the border to the wall firmly many times. Later that night I did notice a couple of spots that were pulling away from the wall. I just smoothed it out and pinned a couple of thumb tacks in the troublesome area. The next morning all was well and it is still holding strong. I thought I should mention that 1 package of the border created no pulling at all and adhered very well to the wall, while the other package gave me a couple of problem spots. I did think that was interesting. Also, the walls were painted 2 days earlier and the area cleaned. I believe all in all this product is just fine, in most cases you are paying less than $10 for a package and you do get what you pay for. Take a couple of precautionary steps to insure that your product works and it should be fine. We are happy with ours!

I actually did not stick them up, so if you're having trouble getting them to stick you can nail them up like I did. I only nailed them because we live in a rented home and when we move it would be easier to cover the nail holes instead, but it also works because I'm sure my son won't love Cars forever, so it's easily removed anyhow. I think they look great, but I did not order enough, so I am going to have to order a couple more.

Many of these types of wall stickers have very poor adhesive or glue. Obviously it's not Wall Paper nor is it meant to be permanent. Not to mention with the changing fads of children, you might not want anything permanent. So my recommendation is to buy some spray adhesive in addition to using any wall sticker art. It's not permanent, removable, re-positional, and holds better. Good Luck! Also, I bought the entire set of stickers, bedroom accessories and matching red/ blue paint. It wasn't a bad price and in another few years it will likely be redone anyway.

I was just sitting in my bedroom and heard what sounded like someone walking on plastic went to investigate and found my sons border half off the wall and still falling

I was so excited to receive this product and surprise my son by re-decorating his room for Christmas. It took me quite some to put up the border around my son's room - I followed the directions exactly. Everyone loved it and it looked awesome....it really finished the cars theme well in his room. Then about 5 hours later I walked by his room and the border was falling down. I climbed back up on the later and reaffixed it to the wall and really focused on pressing it down well. A few hours later it fell down again. Then I got thumbtacks in the corners to hopefully keep it from falling but the middle of the border sagged and is now only being held up by the thumbtacks. It absolutely doesnt stay affixed to the wall. Really good looking product but the quality is TERRIBLE!! Unfortunately this was a complete waste of money =( I didnt even want to give it one star but i had to. I'm completely unsatisfied

We bought our house with a Car's room. This wallpaper was really easy to remove. We just took the top layer off then sprayed the backing with water in a spray bottle. Removes great. Looked a bit cheap as does most wall paper. The design repeats itself over and over. Wasnt a huge fan, but for a quick flare of "cars" it works great.

Looks good, very easy to put up and stuck to the wall better than we thought. Some don't fair as well. The trick is to roll it a few days before you apply to get the fold marks out.

The border itself is very cute and went really well with the blue and red paint we did on the walls. However, it does not stay stuck to the wall. We have a thin doubled sided tape on it right now and it's holding it for the most part but still have to smooth it down daily. We should have maybe tried border paste. Not sure if the two I got were just bad but I know from other reviews that other people also had problems with it not sticking to the wall. So loved the look of it but was overall disappointed with the product.
