3.0 out of 5 stars Baffling, strange, honest, and interesting., March 4, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Victory Chimp (Paperback)
It's been a while since i've read this book, so bear with me. Neil Hagerty has presented us with science fiction at its most confusing. Victory Chimp is our hero who takes us through time in a fight against Chon. The most interesting section of the book comes in the final segment, with the question and answer period. Hagerty uses wrestling as his metaphor here; he succeeds in doing so. This book may require a repeat read, but it is worth the effort. A very odd and enjoyable work. Recommended by this reader.

5.0 out of 5 stars hagerty delivers the goods, November 2, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Victory Chimp (Paperback)
hagerty proves once again he is rock and roll in human form. other authors worry about things like plots that make sense, consistent narrative perspective, and a satisfying climax. neil, on the other hand, has no time for any of this nonsense. instead he chooses to type with his genitalia and spit whiskey at your sister. you know if this is for you, so what are you waiting for, sucka?

By A Customer
This review is from: Victory Chimp (Paperback)
this story not only reconciles the poetry of william carlos williams and the journalistic style of joan didion it also outdoes steve erikson's tours of the black clock----------- by historical standards
