5.0 out of 5 stars I highly recommend it, November 29, 2000

I read Victory Over the Darkness to discuss with a group of friends, and reading the book was a great experience for me. Neil Anderson reflects thoughtfully on what it means to have an identity based in Christ, instead of worldly attributes, without sounding "preachy" or overly complex. Anderson's style is comparable to Max Lucado's works. The book flows easily, with lots of concrete examples from Anderson's experiences. Recently, I gave my copy of this book to a friend who was questioning her faith, and I highly recommend it for anyone who has questions about what it means to have a relationship with Christ.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the Best Books on Spiritual Warfare, July 28, 2005
By
Neil Anderson has written the classic account of Spiritual Warfare. What makes his book outstanding is its emphasis on who the believer is -- Anderson focuses on the believer's identity in Christ (the number of times the term 'in Christ' is used in the NT to describe the faithful is very high).

Some books on the subject of deliverance spend far too long on the more spectacular elements. Anderson builds on what ordinary brothers and sisters can do, in Christ, to receive freedom for themselves or to help someone else receive freedom.

The foundation of Anderson's ministry is 'The Steps to Freedom.' This includes a section called 'Who I Am in Christ' -- basically a list of biblical quotes that tell us what God has done for us through his Son, Jesus Christ.

Anderson bases his teaching on the Word of God, not on human understanding. This is the key to the success of what he is teaching.

I have begun to apply the knowledge he provides in my own ministry with good results.

His videos are also excellent. He's a great speaker.
